    I'm So Bad!!

You made a mistake. Forgive yourself. It’s was a hard time of the year to stay on track. New year, new goals. Make small ones. Say- if I can get to 12 pm following the rules I can get to 3 pm. Then to 6 pm. Then to 9. Etc. get through one day. Then two. You can do it. Get back on track. It’s very early in your surgery recovery and you need to get on track for your new tummie’s health. Ps. Soon you’ll be able to eat a burrito again. That what I would say to myself. I eat anything I want if I REALLY want it. Otherwise I follow the rules the best I can. Good luck. You can do it! HW. 289 SW. 284 Height. 5’8
  2. Chinese food always makes me throw up. Even when I stick with protein. It’s the sauces I’m thinking. HW. 289 SW. 284 Height. 5’8

6 month update, pic and question

I’m happy to hear your weight loss of 60+ pounds in 6 mos. I was feeling like a failure as I’ve only lost almost 60 since August. Now I just had foot surgery and so I can’t exercise like I did before. Feeling defeated. You also look very toned and thin. I see others losing a lot more so I was getting discouraged. I have not been so good while bed ridden and having cabin fever so need to get on the horse again. Your pictures are an inspiration. Thank you!

    Christmas Round-Up

I have no problem using pills. Wait until you see if pills are fine for you. I find sales on vitamins all the time at cvs and Walgreens-so cheaper
  7. Hey all - any advice? I’m having foot surgery next Friday and will be on crutches/ boot for six weeks. I’m nervous about not being able to exercise like I normally do. I’ve lost a little over 50 since aug 21. In a bit of a stall right now since TG HELP!

    Foot surgery next friday

Thanks! Surgery today. I will take your advice and not rush it!
  9. I love this. Swiss kriss. I buy at Whole Foods. Before surgery I would need 3 for occasional cons. Now I take one every few days or so if I need it. Works the next morning. I highly suggest it.

    Burping a lot?

I burp a ton after I eat. I think because at dinner I’m really hungry and eat too quickly and it’s mostly protein. Lunch is lighter like tuna or soup so I burp less. My kids make fun of me and sometimes it’s really too much burping. I really do not think it’s GERD. I don’t even think burping a symptom. I have no pain or acid reflux. And I take the med for acid reflux because of the surgery. I think it’s because my tummy gets full and there’s excess air as it’s trying to digest. When I eat more slowly and not denser foods the burping is less. Maybe try that and experiment with softer meats. Try eating more slowly. I think when I eat quickly I eat too much which causes the burping.

    Always cold now...

I’m 3.5 months out. Always cold! My Hudson Bay wool blanket is the only thing that keeps me warm.
  14. My husband calls me a cheap date. I order off the appetizer list or share a main with my daughter.

If you have the same experience as me.....You’ll be fine. 6 weeks post op is perfect. You will be able to eat protein ‘realish’ food. -and you’ll be down a lot of weight and feel lighter and healthier. Have fun!

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

For me the food problems I had (which were not that significant- stress was my trigger- I just had a huge appetite and loved food- not so emotional) actually diminished significantly after the sleeve. The tool helped with control because of the restriction and the positive reward of actually losing weight. Granted I’m only 3.5 months out but I think you can get support before and after the surgery. It’s just so hard if you just are a hungry person like me to restrict yourself. I always worked out so I was alwAys hungry. At least support after surgery actually physically works as your weight is going down while your emotions are being tended to. Only you know what’s best for you! Good luck.

    5 Confessions (Join In)

I’m afraid I’ll never get under 200 since I was in my 20s when I was ( I’m 48) I’m afraid I’ll enjoy attention from men- I’m married but I like to flirt I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford a tummy tuck and I will most likely need it. I’m also afraid of dying during surgery I’m afraid that after I finally get thin and feel good about myself something really bad will happen to me or my family- and i won’t be happy and I won’t enjoy life- I never believe I deserve to be happy.

    Clothing Sizes

I think jeans are always cut smaller- especially designer. I’m wearing all my size 14 pants and xl pants from uniglo ( which is junior sizing). I still cannot get my size 32 Paige and other designer jeans up my butt and hips. I’m going to have a party when I can wear my jeans again! I’m hoping 15 more pounds will do it so 6 weeks or so!

    Goodbye Phat Girl

I was sleeved on aug 21. I weight 289 and 5’9 so you are thin to me- not sure why ppl are shaming you. I’m hoping to end up at 170ish. In any case I’m 3 mos post op and lost over 50 pounds. I was healthy except for my weight. Before surgery I did soul cycle and purebarre. Also walked 3-6 miles. So I was always into exercise. After 3 mos There’s a huge difference. I am wearing normal clothing and I have a waist. I’m wearing lots of clothing that I couldn’t get over my thighs or over my head. I’m much smaller. I love my progress and can’t wait till the end. Exercise: I walked right from the beginning just took it easy. Started with one block then by 2 weeks was walking a mile. And added more miles and more quickly. Even started to jog but then the weather got cold. At a month I was back into SoulCycle and purebarre although my doc said to take it easy until 6 weeks. I just felt so energetic and light. Now spinning is so much easier and I can push harder. Just remember you are not fully healed u til 6 weeks even though you will feel great. Food: I also LOVE food. Eating cooking preparing cleaning- all of it. But I’m fine with eating smaller amounts. I always try to go for the protein first but there are times- social events- that I just enjoy what others are eating but in small amounts. I taste deserts. I eat toast and butter sometimes if that’s what I want I have cravings and I get hungry. I’m full enough after I eat a little and that feels great! My rule is that if I’m home or at work I follow the rules to a tee. If I’m socializing I enjoy my life. I don’t feel deprived. My tummy doesn’t allow me to go overboard. Do what’s good for you and good luck.
