    First real foods

I am following the doctor's plan. Liquids for three days post op and then puree and soft foods for 3-4 weeks. Each doctor has different rules. I had surgery in Mexico but am following the nutritional plan of a local bariatric doctor where I live as he will be doing my follow up care. No need to be rude. First real foods

Yeah, I know but I thought I would try it and have had no issues. The mushrooms were diced pretty small. I eat, don't feel full but don't feel hungry either. I try to just have 3 meals a day 4-5 hours apart. I have read so many times that it is best to get on real food as soon as you can. I would say I am still doing puree and soft stage at this point. First real foods

I too am worried that I am able to eat so much so easily after only 11 days post op. I had sleeve on 11/21/17 and made a quiche yesterday with tomatoes and mushrooms and had no issues eating 4+oz and then at lunch had 4+oz of ricotta bake. I eat a spoon of whipped peanut butter as a snack and will have a premier protein for dinner. Some days it is just two premier shakes and a 4oz can of chicken spread. I need to be better with exercise but again I am only 11 days post op. I feel like I could eat just about anything right now and have never felt "restriction" and not sure I would even know what that feels like. I don't ever feel hungry but know I need to eat and get my protein in. I get about 60-80 grams of protein a day and I drink well over 64 oz of water a day. I lost 22 pounds in two weeks (including 1 week pre-op diet) but it seems like I am not losing right now. It is very frustrating. I know people are different with how fast they loose but it is discouraging. Any suggestions? HW: 210 SW: 198 CW: 188 GW: 135 Height: 5' 3" Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Turned a corner

Glad you are able to get your liquids in. I guess I am the complete oppisite. I am concerned that liquids are going down too easily. I can drink 11 oz of a premier protein shake within 30 minutes and do not have any issues. I will just need to make sure I don't over do it. My stomach makes a little noise but I don't have any pain or vomiting and I don't feel full. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. Sleeved 11/21/17 at 2:30pm in Mexico. Feeling great, no pain, no gas, no nothing. I know tomorrow may be different but day by day it is. 210 HW, 201 day before surgery, 196 day of surgery. Eating ice cubes right after surgery with no problem. Hope it stays this way. Good luck to everyone else. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. Tomorrow afternoon is the big day for me! I am self pay and going to Mexico by myself. Flying from the eastcoast so it will be a very long day. Surgery time is around 2:30 pm (5:30 pm my time). Very excited, not really nervous, but am sure I will be tomorrow afternoon. Let's do this! [emoji16] Prayers are welcomed! HW: 210 CW: 201 SW: ? 9. I will also be traveling by myself. It will just make it easier. I don't want to have to feel like I need to entertain anyone while I'm trying to rest and recover. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

Having sleeve done in December. I am 40 and have been single by choice for years. It would be nice to have someone occasionly but I'm so used to being by myself. I did get a puppy about a year ago and he brings me joy. But not quiet the same as a human hug! I have been too embarrassed by my weight to even want to date. Even after I loose the weight I know I will still have difficulty with my self-esteem. I just hope I will be more prepared mentally to allow someone to get close. Being alone for so long is hard to break. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
