    Protein shakes

Before surgery I was doing the Herbal Life shakes and those are good. Post op still can drink them, now that I am cleared. I did a lot of research before surgery trying to find a high protein drink that was clear for the first few weeks and I don't like how long it takes to drink 16 oz of liquid for 20 grams of protein. So I had found New Whey Protein tubes at GNC first and then on Amazon. Each tube has 42 grams in a 3.5oz tube. I dilute each tube w 1:1 ratio which is about 21 grams each serving. They are sweet and have bout six flavors so you are not stuck with the same flavor every day. For me this was the best way to get protein and be able to get my water intake up.

    Air Fryers----

I am glad you asked I would have never thought of an air fryer. You just made my day. Well my day when I can start having a more normal meal.

    Phentermine?

Sounds like you and I have the same post op diet. if so don't forget you can take a bean soup and puree it to a smooth consistency. That may help fight the hunger. But I was prescribed 40 mg of Omperazole (don't remember the over counter name) but the prescribed is in a split apart capsule and I was told it dissolves fast. I was scared to take it but I have had that same hunger feeling this helped mine go away. Good Luck

    Taking vitamins post sleeve

Try apple sauce if you are allowed. I had to nix my multi vitamin I wanted but couldn't do it. Found a gummy and just chew it forever. You might be able to finds a liquid multi you can take with a dropper if you are inclined. The Biotin, B12, and Calcium are dissoluble/sublingual and livable. I did test those three pre-surgery so I knew they were fine and not nasty.
  5. I think the reason I took three years to make the final push was because I was worried about my husbands response. I totally understand. I think my husband is ok because with it is because of my fatty liver and diabetes and the possible good side affect with those health issues after VGS. The only negative thing he said was last night when I had mentioned how stressed I was getting and he asked if I still wanted to do it. I am stressed mostly because I am a worry wart and it is what I do. Keep moving forward.
  6. A few months ago I met a nurse who has a twin sister and both had VGS and she had said people who have not been in our "fat" shoes have no clue how difficult is and she was so very supportive. It was awesome to hear her story. Her biggest issues with peoples attitudes are the ones who have no clue she use to be big and talk crap about fat people.
  7. I am not saying much to most everyone either. My in laws are awesome but say the wrong stuff often and don't need it. Also we have two family members that have that gluten allergy the bad one (can't spell the name of it ) and that is all they talk about at family dinners I don't want to hear it. And I am so glad I NEVER said anything because as long as it took for pre op it would have been a 10 month nightmare. It took me three years to make this decision and it is mine alone. My husband is supportive my kids know and only five others three of which have had VGS done. Work is awesome however just have gossipers and can't wait to see the rumors they spread.
  8. Went to my first consult in December 2016. I was told I had a six month waiting period. At the current count I am at 25 Dr appointments in (was given bad advice by my primary physician, I will go over that later). After three cancellations due to all pre-op requirements delays...... Finally have a solid date!!! 09/22/17
