    I was using Isopure-- it was alright, the creaminess factor worked well with the soups because of their creaminess, so I didn't notice it too much.

    I think @OutsideMatchInside has the best advice going, but here's what works for me: I have some emotional eating issues, and what I found worked best was having a little ritual for eating. I sit carefully, I use plates and forks, napkins, it's set nice. If I'm having a bad day and I'm tempted by bad choices, I light some candles for myself. I live with a roommate so I can't ensure that there are no bad foods around, but I make sure that I have my "cheat" available-- sugar free popsicles, in tropical flavors. I also make sure that my protein shakes are flavors I enjoy (chocolate mint, mostly, and a horchata flavored one that I doctor myself), and that my healthy food is also tasty. I've also changed my stress habits-- instead of eating something, I DND my phone and go for a walk with a podcast or an audio book, or go to the gym. I don't know if any of this will help you, but I hope it will! If nothing else, remember that you made the choice to do the surgery because you wanted to be healthy-- keep that choice in mind as much as you can.

    My NUT said no fruit yet, but if your NUT says it's ok, go for it. If you've got contact information for them, text/email/call and ask! The worst that happens is you hear no.

    If you're pre-op and you can eat it, try air-popped popcorn. No butter or fat involved in it. Otherwise, try parm chips? They at least have some protein, and there's a crunch factor involved.

    I just passed out of this phase; I was using cream of mushroom soup made with broth, adding in unflavored protein power. That and cream of chicken made the same way (both strained) were about all I could handle.

    I regret this surgery

    I'm not sure. It might also depend on where you are in your cycle when the surgery happens. I had finished my period just shy of a week before the surgery-- so far no mood swings, no buyer's remorse. I also know a couple of people who did this and are a year out. They did have unhappiness and depression, and some buyer's remorse. The only other thing I can think of that I'm doing that people might not do is that I'm keeping my goals in front of my mental eye; I want to go zip lining, I want to do all the things I can't do at my current weight, at the weight I was before.

    I regret this surgery

    Hey @QueenTiff-- I'm two weeks out tomorrow and everyone I know who's had this has had the same kind of period that you're going through. It'll pass! In the meantime, remember; you made a life-saving decision! For every one of us who chooses to go through this, how many don't? You made a choice for a healthier, better life. In the meantime, this is what's working for me (YMMV) -Take walks as you can (I find that walking has the double effect of clearing my mind AND exhausting me). -Have something to do you've never tried before (I have a couple of canvases and some paint). -If you're too sore to do much walking, pick a good series and watch it. (Not food series, those're the ones giving me problems right now). -Hit water and protein goals, every day.

    Check vitamin D levels, too-- low vitamin D levels can masquerade as electrolyte issues.

    I'm seconding Introversion's thought process here: it's not so much the food as the way you react to it that's the problem. Fixing that will help more than anything, and make it easier for you to stick to the basics again. Best of luck!

    How much walking?

    I'm on day three, and I'm sticking to about 1k steps inside the house, with lots of places to sit down and lots of breaks. I'm finding it's helping a lot with the gas pain.
