Hello, first time I have done anything like this so I apologize! But anyhow, I will attempt to keep it slow and sweet, most of my family is large, I had gotten up to my largest at 338, and my brother is far bigger than I am. Last year at my nieces wedding we took a picture and it made me realize how sick of carrying around the extra weight I was. Life had kicked me in the bollocks over the few years prior and that included loosing both parents at separate times. I am a public servant and am a medic/firefighter and know what my excess weight was doing to me and wearing me down emotionally and physically and making myself a hazard to my brothers and sisters if I were to go down during a call. I found this website after my surgery and decided to join because it has a plethora of information that I know will be handy in the coming months and years. I had my surgery this week on 8/21/2017 and am recovering well, although I will be extremely glad when more of the pain leaves but I am not complaining its always darkest before the dawn! I am here to gather info that I need to make my surgery a success as well as possibly help someone out the way that the community here has assisted me.
