weight gain during 6 month weigh-in period

My surgeon was pi$$ed at me. I don't blame him. I also started school and was also going though custody issues with the ex. Needless to say, I was stress eating. I also quit smoking at that time. My surgeon told me to lose well over 10 pounds before my endoscope. I was already approved by insurance and had a surgical date. My endoscope was two weeks away from the that time of meeting with my surgeon. Endoscope was on Friday and surgery was schedule for the Monday following. I lost 13 pounds before endoscope. sleep apnea screening

I had to bring my cpap machine to the hospital too. I use it every night and feel better because of it.

    sleep apnea screening

At your last visit, did she say you had too? If Not, then keep it moving. If she holds you up based on that then you'll see pulmonary. What can you do about it really? I didn't want to have to be held up but if I wanted the surgery, I had to have a sleep study and then use the machine for a month. As soon as I did that though, I was approved by insurance in 2 days and scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    sleep apnea screening

Not sleeping properly can impede on health obviously but my doctors never said that using the ma hung would help me lose weight. For Me, having sleep apnea was only a puzzle piece. If pulmonary clears you then your Pcp should too. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Saying Hi!

Hi...i am 41 and also live in NJ. I also weighed in at 220 at the time of surgery on 8/28. I also have severe GERD for which I was medicated for over a year now. I have decided to discontinue my medication for the GERD as I feel it is weight related. I also had a hiatal hernia which was repaired at the time of surgery. I also am prediabetic, inhale arthritis in my knees amd have high cholesterol and mild sleep apnea. I had no trouble getting approved for the surgery. I do not; however, have the same insurance. Now, I could be wrong but it seems like the requirements to be approved are pretty much the same across the board as far as BMI and/Or comorbidities. The nutrition requirements vary a bit. 11. The surgical coordinator shouldn't be the one to say if something is "wrong" with you. Get copies of what was submitted and find someone more compassionate to talk with at the insurance company. Tell your primary you are tired all day and don't get enough sleep. Tell them you are concerned you have apnea. Have your primary write you a script for an at home sleep study. Is your BMI still over 40? Are you prediabetic? Do you have high cholesterol or arthritis? Keep track of how you feel and keep following up. They will eventually clear you if you meet requirements. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    August Sleevers-How are you doing??

Sleeved on 8/28. Still having discomfort from gas amd bloating which makes the surgical and incision sites irritated. I'm up to walking 2 miles a day now. I had to take half of a pain pill last night due to over exertion. Otherwise, I have NOT been able to consume 50 oz of water amd I'm not getting all of my protein in. The shakes amd killing me. I'm really done with them. I've add protein to cream of wheat, ff cream of chicken and at chocolate pudding. I've even added PB2B powder to the shakes and pudding for some variety. I am still tired and it still takes forever to urinate. How's everyone else doing?

I'm starting to feel better now. Having trouble getting meds in though. I am suppose crush then up. The taste made me gag. Walking has helped me quite a bit. I just decided to go back to bed now. Did anyone else have trouble urinating? It seems like I have to sit for 10 mins before it comes out.

    August Sleevers-How are you doing??

So this is day three post op. Still lot of gas discomfort. Anytime I sip water I feel like I am going to hang. I'm terrified of actually getting so sick. I've only been walking in my home. Up and down the hall. Did everyone walk right away? And how long before these gagging issues subside?
