Hi all, I’m due to have surgery on Monday morning. Feeling very anxious about it all even though I’ve have theband fitted and then removed few months back. I’m nervous even more so because my pre op diet has been a bit, erm, “slack”! Hope you’re recovery continues and if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them! X

Hi, I had a band fitted 6 years ago of which worked really well for first few years and then it all went horribly wrong. I had to have it removed early March of this year. I'm now free falling and I need to do something soon, before I pile every ounce back on! I've read up on benefits of both bypass and sleeve but hoping someone out there would just tell me what one to go for! Anyone? No..?? Ok...does either one's benefits outweigh (boom boom!!) the other?? thanks in advance! 🙂

This is the part that I'm dreading!!! That and the 4 weeks post liquid diet!!! Just hoping that come Xmas I can manage a spoonful of turkey and mash!!!! Where are you having your op done? Xx

Thank you all for taking the time to respond. Your comments are much appreciated. I had a consultation this morning, and have eagerly signed up for the bypass. I think the acid reflux swung it for me, along with greater restriction .... I didn't work with the band and I accept the result was totally my fault! My operation is already booked for 16th October...excited and scared: mostly excited though!! Once again HUGE thanks for your comments, and best of luck on your life changing journeys!! Xx
