Joint pain on pre-op liquid diet
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to Once Upon a Sleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Another person posted about this...google Keto Flu, since the pre op diet is low carb/Keto, the symptoms are quite similar to the common flu, which would explain the joint or body pains you’re experiencing. -
Mine is the morning of December 4th in Houston!
-
You had the sleeve?? You’re throwing up every-time you eat??
-
You can get them at just about any health store or vitamin store. I bought some for my sister and she said they worked well. It’s used to help break down your food and move it through, especially if you ever have that stuck feeling in your throat or chest. It’s worth a try!

Fibromyalgia Sleevers
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It could be Keto Flu, I haven’t done the sleeve yet but from what I’ve read, the Pre Op diet is low carb. As a result, Keto Flu can happen which mimics Flu like symptoms, which is also a characteristic for us Fibromyalgia sufferers ☹️ -
Fibromyalgia Sleevers
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cymbalata works great for the pain, but I was already struggling with chronic fatigue and sleepiness all the time, and it just made me more tired and sleepy than I already was. If you can withstand it long enough and get through side effects, it’s great. I’m sorry to hear that surgery isn’t helping much with your pain... -
Yay! Finally have a surgery date!

The slimes.... can anyone explain them?
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to GonnaLoseIt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That’s one of my biggest fears is daily vomiting ☹️ -
Help!!!! Help me please!!!

I haven’t had the sleeve yet, still in the research phase. Ive heard a few people talk about papaya enzymes. It’s supposed to be really good in helping with the stuck feeling and digestive problems. -
Dating and Social Life
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So true! -
How’s dating been for sleevers out there? Just wondering when would be the right time to say anything or if you should say anything. I’m just wondering during outings, like at dinner with someone new you’re dating, and maybe didn’t tell them you had surgery, how do you handle it. I’m thinking they would start to notice how you’re eating...or not eating, especially in the very beginning when you’re on liquids and puréed. I haven’t had surgery yet, hopefully I’ll be approved before the year is up.

I had my initial consultation today with Dr. Davis, of the Davis Clinic here in Houston. I have a BMI of 39.6, 237 lbs at 5'5, and he's suggesting the Sleeve would be the best option for me. Anyone ever been to the Davis Clinic and had a Sleeve, and if so, how well are you doing with it?

I’m glad when I hear people are doing well, I’m always afraid I’ll be that one rare person who has a failed sleeve surgery [emoji33] -

How's your intake been, are there times you can't keep food down or experience pains after eating or drinking?? -

Does anyone have experience with Be Lite Weight Loss? They're a scheduling service that have an in house Psychiatrist and Nutritionist who will write the necessary documentation, and will do all the work to get you approved for surgery through your insurance.

Is Constant Vomiting Normal ☹️?
ILOVETEXAS210 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel so silly for even posting this concern, but one of the main things holding me back from having weight loss surgery is the constant vomiting of mucus I keep hearing about ☹️. One person I know had the bypass 13 YEARS ago, and till this day, sometimes throws up after meals. One day she can tolerate a certain food and the next time she eats it, she can't. Another person had surgery 2 years ago and still vomits. I mean, is this the norm? -
Is Constant Vomiting Normal ☹️?
ILOVETEXAS210 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's great! I feel at this point it's almost medically necessary for me to have it but if vomiting regularly is the trade off, I don't know if it would be worth it ☹️
