    I haven't told anyone

I get 2 chances to appeal. I think my best bet is to get a non-biased psych evaluation. I am waiting on the surgeons office to get back to me. The lady who handles everything doesn't communicate well or like to get back to me when I leave messages or send emails. I contacted the office manager today, so hopefully this will resolve the communication issue. I want to see what they say to do. Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    I haven't told anyone

My therapist put that he didn't think I had a support system and I got denied. I just found out yesterday. So be careful when you get the psych evaluation if you haven't gotten it yet!! Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    BCBS of Illinois

I got denied yesterday because of my psych evaluation. They said I have too many stressors. I just think they don't want to pay the 100% this year because I've met my out of pocket and they were looking for an excuse. They did this to me a few years ago when I needed a back surgery and then approved it on January 2nd. I'm just really upset over this! Best wishes! Dotty Cole

Extended release pills don't work after a gastric sleeve?? Best wishes! Dotty Cole
  7. They said 15 days, and then later said it can take up to 30 days. I had to have a procedure on my back today so I couldn't call, but I will be calling first thing in the morning. Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    Insurance approval and surgery date??

I'm sorry what I meant to say was every doctors office does things differently. I wish they would just schedule it already. My back doctor makes my appointments when I have procedures and then gets the approval. They schedule like a month sometimes 3 weeks out. I'm getting worried that I will have to wait until next year and that may present a problem. I have already met my deductible and out of pocket so everything is covered at 100%! This is just not a great time for me to have to wait!!! Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    AT&T health insurance coverage

I'm so sorry. If there was a dislike button I would click it on it. My husband works in the field as a service tech for AT&T so mine is covered. I'm just waiting on BCBS now. Uughhh worst part. But at least you found a way and I really hope it works out. Best wishes! Dotty Cole

Awesome!! I have the same insurance. My husband works for AT&T. How long did it take for you to get approved?? Best wishes! Dotty Cole
  12. I feel the same exact way. It's been 12 days, and I call daily and they just say it's under review. I wish I knew a way to make it move along faster. Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    BCBS of Illinois

I have BCBSIL through my husbands employer, which is AT&T and live in Georgia. For us all mental health goes through Beacon Health and on the back of our insurance card all of the separate numbers lists the mental health number. But it does depend on your contract. It's best to just call BCBS up and directly ask them. Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    Insurance approval and surgery date??

It normally takes more than a week to get approved. My doctors office doesn't even schedule until the insurance company approves wls. I would just call the doctors office and ask them the exact process, because every insurance company does things in different time frames and has different requirements. Best wishes! Dotty Cole
  15. Congratulations!! You look great!! You've lost so much weight!!! I feel so encouraged!!! Thanks for sharing!! Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

Agreed. I am appalled by Johnnycakes behavior. This is a place to encourage and help others in a polite manner. Arguing and insulting others is childish and has no place here. I'm new and haven't had my surgery yet and none of your posts here are helpful but come off very offensive. I hope you calm down and feel better. Best wishes! Dotty Cole
  20. I have had moments where that has happened to me. Is there a reason why we can become insatiably hungry like that? I mean it doesn't happen often but it does sometimes. ??? Best wishes! Dotty Cole

    AT&T health insurance coverage

I was just scrolling through so I don't know how old this is. But my husband works for AT&T and we have always chose BCBS of IL and they cover it. The coordinator in the office said they approve easy and quick especially if you have a BMI over 40. Just a note we live in GA, BCBS of IL is one of the 3 insurance's we have to choose from. Everyone gets the exact same when it comes to healthcare. It might be the health insurance you chose. What kind of information did the doc office give you?
