Getting sleeved 8/29 - so excited!

I am currently Pushing myself to get in my fluids and My protein as yesterday was the first day I was able to get my fluids and my protein down in a week, SO I CONSIDER IT A WIN I also forced myself to work out yesterday ( a very low workout) today Im paying for it as my sites on my stomach are very much painful today...I am currently as many other experiencing the 3 week stahl.. My doctor did give me a heads up on this said it could only last a couple days but can last up to two weeks I have been doing my very best to only jump on the scale at my doctors office (leaves me not feeling let down this way) and taking measurements once every 2-3 weeks ... I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE is doing well

Ice helps! I had trouble with water at first and crystal light went down easier (Weird I know but it worked) I was so swollen at first I had a similar time but it does get better. I promise! Thinking of you and hope it gets better soon.

    Feeling blasé about food

I also started my Pre-Op diet a week early to just prepare myself for what was to come... I am now 2 weeks post op and some days are better then others. However I wanted to instill in myself better eating habits as once I am at goal I do not want to gain . I also lost the thought of food 2-3 weeks prior to my big day.. Food used to excite me and before surgery it no longer did... currently I do miss pickles I also miss tacos, weird I no but I am aware they are only cravings and I will live with out them

    I can't get my liquids in ??

I had a hard time with my water and protein the first week I am currently 12 days post-op every single day is easier. I had to switch things up alot what saved me was sugar free ice pops, and vitamin water 0 the lemonade kind.... anything that you can get it just keep taking very small sips --- Hope you feel better sooner
  8. Currently 12 days post-op.... Someday's are better then others some days my emotions are crazy other days Im overly happy... I miss food mostly tacos weird but I thats my current craving that Im considering throwing in my blender... LOL however I am learning to eat again, I am still on mushy food yesterday I enjoyed tomato soup... my body handled it fairly well I however can not tolerate Jello since the day of surgery my body has not wanted it every time I try it I get ill... So I just don't attempt it any longer.... I went and seen my Doctor on Wednesday and that went well I am down 15lbs since my operation so thats over a pound a day... I think this journey isnt going to be easy however i believe it will be worth it... She gave me a long talk about a stall I will hit from week 3-5 explaining this is normal to not freak out to much it will not last but may last the full 2 weeks I have vowed to not weigh myself but when I am at the doctors office and to only take measurments once a month so that I dont become overly obsessed with the changes in my body I just want to focus on feeling better and that alone will make me happy :)

  9. As I am almost to my surgery date 8-29-2017 my pre-op diet has been not as bad as I thought the first few days I was very weak, the feeling of crashing came on most often but , now as I beginning to pack my hospital bag and prepare my mind for this journey that both my mind and body are about to take, I am very nervous... I am not nervous that I can not change my eating habits, I am also not nervous for the pain, or the way my life is about to change very quickly in just the next few short days.... My nerves are coming from the sheer fact that for the first time in 32 years I have to take care of ME and that is a very VERY scary concept for me.. I take care of kids, my kids, our kids, their kids, my spouse our family's, my siblings, I take care of so many things and people in My life... that not taking care of me has been easy because I always had the excuse that I only had time to shovel junk in my mouth or I did not have time to work out or live a healthy lifestyle... the transition has been easy thus far but I no this will be a battle of me learning to do what I can do to care for myself... I wonder if I am the only one that feels like this, how will I make time, how will I learn to say no for myself... how can I be better for me with out feeling an over whelming guilt or feeling of selfishness??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thank you and Have a wonderful day

  13. 10 days on my Pre-OP diet.... I am down 15lbs currently and still have four days left... 2 protein shakes a day sugar free jello, veggies and lean High protein meat 3oz at dinner....
  14. 3 More days and I will be sleeved, I am nervous and my general thought is everyone is at this point, I am a big baby when it comes to pain and I a positive from everything I have read that the first few days are not pleasant... Everyone has their own journey and I am hopeful that this is the start of mine, I was just as concerned for my pre-op diet but I have been just fine.... Im sure this is not going to be easy but I am sure it is well worth it for the future of of myself and my children then deserve a happy healthy mommy and I deserve a happy health life <3
