Im SOO HUNGRY! How are you making it through?
Krissy22blue replied to hillnicole34's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had days I wanted to murder someone.... each day gets a bit better. For me I made sure I had everything I was aloud to have in the house with as much variety as possible. I had a lot of sauteed cabbage with garlic and hot sauce which helped me. I also found the ultra low fat whip cream and had that with my jello. Although they were not exactly aloud I was able to be successful. One day I was so hungry I ate a handful of sugar free candies lol. Jsut do your best because everyone is different. I am 6 weeks post op and down 40lbs and honestly there were days I didn't think I could do it. I am lucky to be off work so on bad days I would try to distract myself with movies or I would sleep. You will adjust it just takes time. If you really cannot handle it eat something that is water based.... look at what your aloud after surgery and choose what will break down the easiest. Goodluck every day is a new day! Kristen -

3 weeks out.... I didn't go for 10 days. I took and still do 4 senekot a day. The first couple times I finally went were not normal at all. I thought I had internal bleeding. Doc said it's normal. If you want take fleet enema. It's normal just keep trying to get fluids in although it seems impossible you will get there I promise. every day is a new day! Kristen -
So I'm 4 days post op and really struggling getting protein in..... I'm not a sweets person so the pudding and protein shakes are tasting overly sweet since the surgery. I have zero energy and unfortunately zero support. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

Caloric intake on post-op full liquid diet?
Krissy22blue replied to Ready4theday's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I felt so weak until I introduces very soft scrambled eggs. My surgeon allows that on day 14 however day 10 I had it. That has helped me big time. Lifting my arm to grab my phone felt like a workout. Coming from my room to livingroom felt like a marathon. I'm only 14 days post op and feel 90% better. I did back to school shopping groceries and Costco yesterday and by the end i was done but I did it. I'm also down 31. Lbs since the start of my 2 week post op diet so it defiantly works. Good luck every day is a new day! Kristen
