luluc - love the picture - was thinking that the sloppy joe mixture would be a good filling for a ravioli  especially with a blue cheese sauce! (maybe you and I should collaborate an a ravioli cookbook) my efforts to start better today failed - wasn't hungry for breakfast (should have made myself have something) L- tried 1/2 c. broccoli cheese soup - didnt stay down for some reason - tried 1/2 a protein bar later - same problem. s- but of course the cheetos and chocolate bunny I ate later when I was starving while teaching some classes went down fine. d- dont know yet certainly not hungry now, need to eat out of my freezer though - don't know if I've ever had so many small containers in it. s- going to a late night espresso & gelatto gathering w/ friends

Slim-n-tn - I can second that x 2 days!!!! I am going to try to be good tomorrow but I am going to a shower and out to dinner with friends.

I also like to make mine but do buy out of convenience several times - there are several that I like but my absolute favorite and preference is SABRA - it has the smoothest texture (which of course does up the fat a little but its good fat)

Have been Mia for a couple days - crazy busy at work - will post today's eating later (just started my day couple hours ago) Slim-n-tn - I love edamame too - my favorite way to eat them - I fill a pot with about 3" water and make it very salty (tastes like sea water), bring it to a boil dump in a bag of frozen edamame (unshelled) and bring it back to the point where its just about to start boiling again - and turn it off, drain and enjoy - I eat them hot and cold - just hold the pod up to my mouth and squish out/suck out the the beans from inside - so good! sometimes I also add a little garlic to the water. GREAT SNACK with good protein. I like to use the shelled ones - its kind of like eating pistachios - you work to get the goodness from inside! :smile2:

Although I have always fully subscribed to the idea of the healing powers of ice cream - How can one argue with all that ice cold protein, dairy, calcium and comfort food goodness?!!!

Luluc - I'm so sorry to hear about your foot - take care of yourself!

I actually bought it a couple weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. I have not used the dvd with it - I just do my own thing while watching tv and have a lot of fun this last week - made a fun fast paced/dance playlist for the ipod and do basically dance while using it in the upside down manner (rocking) - makes my legs BURN!!! Will eventually have to try the dvd though - to learn more things to do with it if nothing else.

San Diego Mom - I also wanted to tell you - I did the exact same thing when I went to hawaii - I should have had a fill before but wanted to enjoy fruit while I was there. So I went and I had more fruit and fish than I have probably had in a year  I also had dessert every night and I enjoyed every bite - But I also woke up before sunrise every day and walked 4-6 miles. It is about balance - ENJOY it and when you come back enjoy the help your fill will give you (which is exactly what I did)

I should own stock in Fage plain nonfat yogurt as much as i use it - I love it. on its own (mixed with splenda or a spoonful of jam) with granola, Protein Cereal and/ or fruit. I put it in Protein shakes for more of a smoothie. I use it in place of sour cream for anything. I also add it to many Soups to make them creamier, thicker and get a protein boost. I get mine at several of the local grocery stores but my favorite place is whole foods - no surprise they have the best selection of brands, fat varieties, flavors and sizes but it was a surprise that they are actually cheaper than my grocery stores for this item. They also have the fage nonfat plain (my favorite ) in the single sups and 3 larger sizes all the way up to a 52 oz container (greek yogurt also has a longer shelf life) - I've had the 52 oz container open for a week without problem - great for my Breakfast every morning and then I've made several pureed soups this week that ive added it to.

That sounds soooo good! - Think I might have to use seasoned rice wine vinegar and add some juliened red bell pepper and sugar snap peas. THink you just helped plan my menu this weekend! thanks!!

SPINACH BARS makes a 9x13 pan full - could easily scale down but I was taking it to a meeting and I like to use up packages. Ingredients: 1 3/4 c. eggbeaters or 7 large eggs (nutr. data is for beaters) 1/2 c. skim milk 1.5 c. ff plain greek yogurt 1 .5 tsp salt 2 tsp minced fresh garlic 1.5 tsp baking powder 1 c. whole wheat flour pinch red pepper flakes 10 oz pkg fresh baby spinach leaves 8 oz pkg shredded part skim mozzarella 7 oz pkg lite feta cheese, diced 1 onion, diced optional: 1 c. chopped mushrooms or red pepper (roasted or fresh) DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees or 375 if using an air filled pan. Mix spinach, cheeses, onion and any of the optional ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate large bowl whisk all the other ingredients, pour over spinach mixture and mix well. Pour into a 9x13" pan greased with Pam. Bake for about 40-45" (top should look dry and the edges just beginning to brown. Serve warm - tastes so good a cross between a crustless quiche and a meatless strata. Like many quiches it would probably taste good cold - just haven't had the opportunity to try it that way yet. Depending on how you cut it here is the nutrition data: 20 servings (5x4) / 16 servings (4x4) / 15 servings (3x5) Servings: 20, 16, 15 Calories: 91, 114, 121.5 Protein (gm): 11, 13.3, 14.2 Fat: 3.4, 4.2, 4.5 Fiber 1, 1.3, 1.5 Picture below is a 16 serving size square
