  1. YESTERDAY: B: couple bites cream of wheat, grande skinny vanilla latte S: 3/4 slice banana bread w/ maple butter  (making for neighbors) L: 1/3 c. hummus w/ assorted veggies(red pepper, snap peas, baby carrots) S: babybel cheese, veggie straws D: 3/4 c. roasted red pepper soup S: peanut butter lowfat frozen yogurt So yes i have been snacking the last few days and frozen yogurt has been involved (and I realized I never posted saturday's food which there was 1.5 beers and 5 fried mushrooms) but nothing to explain how since friday I have gained back the 5 lbs I lost since my small unfill on monday. I am fully aware of how fluid shifts drastically in us - but seriously? Sooo - I'm going to hit it hard working out this week and go back to my post-fill liquid/soft diet for several days. I made my 2 favorite pureed soups (roasted red pepper and garden broccoli) so my freezer is stocked. I don't think I would ordinarily be so obsessed with a few lb. swing but before the 5lb regain - I had actually hit my 1st goal below and was 2 lbs away from the 2nd Today is one of my long days - I'll post later tonight at work what I ate.
  2. TODAY: (was a little bad) B: 1 babybel cheese, sm. handful veggie straws, 1 tsp pb L: 1/3 c. creamy bolognese pasta dish S: 6-8oz nonfat tart frozen yogurt D: 1/2 c. creamy bolognese pasta dish S: will be some lowfat pb frozen yogurt It was very hot today and my ice cream gene is strong - figured these choices were better than others.

  4. No I've been interested in trying it too - just normal (I usually do the sf but when I'm on liquids I'll allow a regular one) but I do always make it with milk - tastes so much better!
  5. WELCOME SWISHBC! Made it through the night - hopefully a repeater - I'm probably going to repeat my meals because they were good. My plan: TODAY: B: mango lassi protein shake L: roasted red pepper soup w/ greek yogurt mixed in and asiago D: mocha/latte protein shake S's: will have at the ready if needed: (only had 1 pudding last night) - sf pudding, jello, hot chocolate, another option - I had a little of the mango lassi protein shake left that I froze (kinda like my own dessert)
  6. I've ben buying the organic/natural pb too - agree that un-doctored it is beyond gross (unpallitable really!) However, some salt and lots of splenda (lots of packets not the bagged - makes big difference) and now it tastes like reeses peanut butter goodness!!!
  7. So I did go get a partial unfill (they had originally put in .2 - they took out .15) we'll see how it goes. Feel hungry now but know I'm also dehydrated and need water. Due to this - I have had very little sleep today and know I'm going to be hating life at work tonight. Back to liquids for 48 hrs: My plan for today: B: mango lassi protein shake L: roasted red bell pepper soup w/ greek yogurt mixed in D: mocha protein shake S'S: will have at the ready if needed: sf pudding, jello, hot chocolate

  9. Today: B: 1/3 serving cream of wheat made w/ milk, PB & maple syrup L: 2 oz dover sole, 1/5 avocado smashed w/ lemon juice S: veggie straws and 1 babybel cheese D: couple bites quiche, babybel cheese, some baby carrots S: unfortunately eating too many peanut butter m&m's
  10. Congrats on the 100lb mark! I'm just about to hit that mark myself - I don't know what it is about that number but it's special. (Ok so maybe not as special as hitting goal - but it's still huge!)

    1 Year Out - A lifetime Gained!

So Good Friday was my 1 yr anniversary - how fitting. 91 lbs lost! So let's review a couple points: If I could go back in time would I choose to not have the surgery? - Not on your life!!!!!!!! best decision I might have ever made (only thing that comes close was following my parents advise to buy my house when I was 23) Have I had any Complications? - No - I wouldn't say any complications. I had to have 1/2 an un-fill a week after I got a fill a couple months ago b/c I was too tight - No big deal. - I have had a problem with recurrent fungal infections under my stomach - not pretty, smells worse - but not totally unexpected and just part of the process. Do I have ANY regrets? - Not in regards to having the surgery - but I do wish I had started exercising earlier on and still did it with more regularity. I also wish I had not gotten a fill every month (it's what the Dr's office said was ok - and I'm sure it's fine in practice) I just think if I had gotten a fill less regularly I might have had to force myself to work more on self control/discipline. What happened that I wasn't expecting? - I don't think I have ever spent so much money on clothes in 1 years time between work and play - it's crazy (and this was with having had some clothes in some of those smaller sizes from a previous wt. loss attempt a couple years ago) My next drop in size will put me into a size I have never been in adulthood - have never bought it (SO EXCITING but OMG! I'm broke!!!!) What do I need to work on here on out? - EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE!!!!!! - I still need to watch what I eat - I'm good about getting protein in and keeping my meals small - I just know that I snack way too much and on very unhealthy food at times - ok to do I'm just doing it too often! (for example there is way too much easter candy in my kitchen! - Find a clothes delivery truck stocked w/ 14/16 clothes and turn on the charm! :w00t:

  19. So I had my 1 yr appt. today (couple days late) and got a sm. fill. TODAY: B: mocha Protein shake L: 3 oz plain ff greek yogurt w/ 1/2 mango, pureed S: 0.6 oz piece of brie D: 2/3 c. white bean chili w/ cheese, pureed S: might have some chocolate pudding later if I'm up for a while

    Help!!!

Hey Sandiego Mom - sorry about your discomfort - have been there. Don't know if its irritation or a little piece stuck - when it happened to me I was better the next day but I have been seeing info on papaya enzyme (supposed to really help if its a 'stuck' issue) - papaya is the worlds natural most strong tenderizer - helps break things down. (all good things come from Hawaii - right? if it's irritation - treat like was suggested above - (think post fill diet for 1-2 days) If still not better - talk to your Dr - Hope you feel better soon!
  21. WELCOME TWEETY! Yesterday: B: couple bites chicken salad (made w/ smoked chicken and dried cranberries :blushing:) and a scoop of ice cream  S: couple bites of a donut - did not feel good going down L: 1/2 c. smoked chicken salad w/ wheat thins, reeses egg S,D,S: grazed on more chicken salad, smoked salmon spread w/ carrots, pretzels, chips and m&m's.
  22. it's not a traditional oven fried chicken - wasn't real sure what to call it - it's a dream dinners meal that I modified. basically dipped small boneless/skinless breasts (really good if you let marinate for 1-2 hours in a sauce of warmed butter, olive oil (only need 1-2 tbls each of fats), lots of garlic, worscheshire, liquid smoke, dijon, white wine, cayenne, paprika and salt - then dip into crushed french fried onions and pat onto both sides. bake at 350 fro 20-22"
  23. WELCOME BACK SAN DIEGO MOM!!!! - Sounds like you had a great time - hope you feel rejuvinated! TODAY: (one of my long days) B: 5.8 oz plain nonfat greek yogurt, w/ 1 spoon strawberry jam, 0.5 oz protein cereal, 1/4 c. blueberries S: 1/3 sm. cinnamon roll - did not feel great, 1 oz diced pepperoni L: about 1/3 c. pizza rustica (italian-quiche-like meal) D1: 1/2 boneless skinless chicken breast, oven fried w/ 1/4 c. mashed potatoes D2: let's just start the head shaking - cheese popcorn and some peanut butter m&m's - was only going to have some as a snack - ended up eating too much so it was my meal S: 0.5 oz beef jerky ok - so not only am I going to do a sugar-fast next week - but I need some fruit/veggie-splurging!!!
  24. TODAY: B: cheese and crackers - not great but quick on the go L: 3/4 c. tortilla soup w/ cheese, marshmellow treat S: snackwells cookie pack - 1/2 came back up D: not sure how much (ate out)- ginger basil chicken w/ some noodles and crispy tofu S: 1 sm scoop chocolate ice cream which has been an unfortunate trend lately I have had too many sweet treats today - think I need to do a sugar fast (don't think I'll do it right before I go back to work for the week but maybe starting monday) I also need to go back to having some protein shakes.
  25. TODAY: B: 1/3 serving cream of wheat made w/ milk, w/ pb & maple syrup mixed in S: pepper cheese & chips L: 2 shrimp wontons D: eggs benedict - (my way) - used 3 small roasted artichoke bottoms, topped w/ a little of my smoked salmon spread, topped by mostly egg white scramble and then some hollandaise (the splurge) - but w/o the bacon and biscuit - don't feel too bad! S: pb marshmellow treat and a scoop of gelato
