There is a nurse who went to Dallas for training to do fills after her daughter got banded. Here name is Rena' Kuehler RN BSN 806.673.2719 (cell) and 806.359.3030 (office).

You're lucky- My Dr. tells me to eat 2 oz per meal. In the evening I am really hungry. I have a lot of energy and am able to exercise without feeing weak. It's amazing how little food (fuel) we actually need! You'll get used to the small amount of food you eat.. Just keep it up!

I was wearing a tampon in surgery. I let them know (in case "something" happened and I didn't wake up for a while) and they took it out after I was asleep.

I started mine an hour before they took me back- I asked if I could just wear a tampon and they said no. It wasn't really bad- just embarrassing!

I live in Texas and we have snow cone stands in the summer. If you dont have any near by, you can shave ice and pour sugar free syrup over it. If it is too sweet you can water it down a little bit. Katie -

Stef- don't get down!!! Just follow your physician's instructions and the weight will come off. I REALLY enjoy sugar free snow cones! I am getting one a day right now. It is sugar free so it counts toward your water. The ice makes you chew- so theres more satisfaction. -

My Dr. didn't put me on a pre-op diet. Banded May 20 and have lost 15 lbs so far. Yay!!!!! -
Hi all! I am scheduled to be banded May 20th by Dr Hall in Lubbock,TX. I have also been scheduled for all of my preop testing on May 13th. This is happening so fast! I am very excited and also a little nervous. Just ready to get the surgery over with!

I am in Canyon, Texas (in the Panhandle) and Dr Hall in Lubbock, Texas is doing my banding. I am excited and nervous at the same time! I have my time off from work scheduled and haven't even had my pre-ops done yet. I hope I pass everything! Any nurses out there? I am taking off three weeks and hope that is enough.
