I was 275 in 2012. I had the sleeve in August 2012. I was down to 200 pounds by December. I have worked hard to keep it off. I am 63 and, as of today, am 190. I have kept it off for 11 years. The first pic is 2012 before surgery. the next pic is recent.

Sure. The sleeve is not a miracle cure. It is a restart. 1. I walk 5 miles a day. Every day. I can’t run. I am a disabled veteran with 6 knee surgeries, so I walk. 2. When I start to feel full, I stop eating 3. I maintain, and have maintained, the diet from my surgery. I don’t do carbs and I drink at least 2 protein shakes a day. No cake, no pie, no pizza, no pasta. No cookies, no donuts , no bread. And I don’t miss it. I have been off it for 11 years. I do eat carbs on Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday. But, because I have been careful, I get full very quickly.

I was 275 pounds in 2012. I was overweight, unhealthy, pre-diabetic. I did the Sleeve in Tijuana. My goal was to get down to 200. This morning, I was 193.8. I got the weight off, and have kept it off for 9 years. It works! If you consider it and treat it as a life change, it works. For 9 years, I have done my protein shakes twice a day. I do not eat carbs....I work out. I get full, I stop eating. I am 61 and my doc says I have the bloodwork of a man in his 30s. The first picture was a month before surgery. July 2012. The second picture was recent. April 2021.

Today is my 9-year Anniversary

it was a piece of cake for me. My only issue was the initial paid meds made me nauseous. they changed that and all was good. I recommend it. And Tijuana was amazing. -
Six years ago today, I had my sleeve surgery. I was 275 pounds. My goal weight was 200 pounds. I hit my goal pretty quickly. I am proud to say that, six years later, I am still under 200 pounds. Im am 58. I just had my yearly physical. Before surgery I was unhealthy and pre-diabetic. Doc told me last week that I have the health and blood-work of a 30-year old.

I was 275. I had the sleeve August 13, 2012. My goal was 200. I have been as low as 195 and have stayed 195-200 for five years. It was a life-changing experience. The pics are from July 2012, a month before surgery, and a recent pic...... It truly works.

Very simple. I use the diet I was given and have never deviated. I load protein (shakes, etc) and I do not do carbs. My fav food is spaghetti...I now eat it once a year- my birthday. I never eat the donuts the office provides. I do not eat cake. I do not eat pie. I eat steak. I eat fish. I eat chicken. I eat good veggies...no potatoes. My weakness is ice cream- I do not eat it. I do not drink sodas. When I get full, I stop. My splurge is a banana with peanut butter. I walk a minimum of 5 miles daily (I had 6 knee surgeries from an Army injury, or I would run). That is about it. The surgery was life changing. It was like rebooting my system. I was given a chance to start over and change my habits. oh...and I am 57
