Wedding rings - what to do?
Jeaniered replied to ummyasmin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I kept buying inexpensive bands which I had to replace nearly every month. I have now had my rings resized by the jewellers and they fit great. Glad to have them back in my finger. -

Good for you, you look great. I agree with your philosophy, I don’t want to look like my mum though she was pretty wild and foxy. I hear what your saying and perhaps I’m throwing the towel in too soon let’s see how it goes. I agree my thighs need a bit more off, just worried about any more loose skin. I too want to turn heads which I’m doing now and it’s great. Thanks for the kick up the bum. X -

“Normals” fine for me. I’ll go with the advice of my doctor but thanks for your comments. The way things are going I may end of losing more anyway. -

How did you choose a goal weight?

Yes I agree, but I did this for my health also everybody’s body is different. I don’t feel fat, I feel just right. You judge, my latest photos below. Also my surgeon told me he thought I’m about right and that he felt that in his opinion the bim boundries are a bit extreme. Anyway I’m still losing, even though I’m trying to maintain my current weight. I might end up hitting my normal bmi anyway 😂 -

Not sure what you mean by language? I didn’t say I looked Ill, but if I got to my recommend bmi then I felt i would look ill! At 63 I would look silly trying to look like a model! Why are you picking on me? -

Can someone show me a light at the end of the hair loss tunnel?
Jeaniered replied to josephsmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It’s early days and your body has to adapt, keep doing what your doing it should all level out. Be patient, all will work out. I had long stalls and became obsessed with the whole process and felt it hadn’t worked. If you have long hair, get it cut short as this will help. I didn’t notice st first that my hair had stopped falling out, then my hairdresser told me she could see my hair growing back in. It took 2 months, but it’s good now, healthy, thick and shiny. Do you take any other vitamins? I take multi vitamins every day and have b12 injections every 12 weeks. In a year when your nice and slim and look back, you will realise that it’s just part of your journey and you got there. -

I took protein drinks, could never quite reach the required water level. Once 8 got past the first couple of months I followed the keto diet which is very high protein and it was really good and easy. Now eat what ever I want but very small amounts. -

I lay in bed and can feel my ribs, in fact they are sticking out! But my bim is still not normal. If I lose more I will look Ill. I’m 63, happy with where I am, bought long length boots today, not extra wide and can cross my legs, go to the gym and run with my grandkids so I’m happy. I’m in the uk so have the nhs (though I did pay for my sleeve) and so I don’t have to go the medical insures to plead for treatment. -

The goal I set was too extreme. But glad I set it as a goal as it gave me the drive I needed. So go for it - reach for the stars then you will be happy when you reach the moon! I knew when I got there, the hardest part now is to maintain at this weight. I’m still loosing and beginning to look a bit too thin lol. -

Somethings not right with your surgery, from day 1 have bot been able to eat more than a couple of ounces at a time. Now a year on I still can’t eat more than a few mouthfuls at a time. My surgeon told me he took away 90% of my stomach and I still struggle to eat. Perhaps the insurance company need to hear your complaints about him. They won’t be happy if they paying out for something that’s not working. -
