Papaya enzymes is used for heartburn and I use them. I think they work wonderfully. I would definitely recommend them if you suffer from heartburn or acid indigestion. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

I work (Telework) from home 4 days a week and the only time I took off was for the three days that I was in the hospital. The only thing you need to take into consideration is that this surgery zaps your energy significantly, so beware. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

hi all, I'm 3 weeks post-op and I'm having a terrible taste in my mouth in between meals. It's sort of a metallic taste. Am I the only one that has this side effect going on? Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Weakness & shortness of breath
kjfultz1 replied to ladycharizar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ladycharizar, it is definitely normal. I was sleeved on 7/26 and I still get winded doing little that didn't bother me before. I was told that it was due to the decrease in calories. I'm also struggling with the shake. I'm currently in the mushie food stage so instead of drinking a shake I'll have a soft boiled egg and some yogurt to get my protein in. Bye Bye Band...Hello Sleeve
kjfultz1 replied to Geri Marie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hi Geri, I had the sleeve done on 7/26 and I have had no pain at all from the sleeve, although I had a histal hernia and my doctor had to repair that during the surgery, there was a little discomfort from that on the first day, but other that - I really feel good. The only side effect from that I feel is bothersome, is fatigue... happens quite a bit because of the decrease in calories. Don't sorry, you'll be fine.
