Sleeved March 9th, I’ve lost 70 lbs total, 8lbs to goal, I feel awesome!! But have stalled a little in the past few months. I will finish the year strong. Back to the basics for me
-
Awww I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t been meeting my fluid goals either but I’m trying. Get well. Are they going to release you afterwards?
-
I have never been good at tracking but i feel it is absolutely necessary for success. I’m doing my best to track everything. I find this app very helpful.
-
Baritastic is a very good app. Journal, track water, protein or meals, timer tracking weight and measurements etc
-
I’ve been using Baritastic you can track pretty much everything food/protein, water, exercise, journal measurements etc

Yes I was sleeved march 9 with dr Szomstein at Cleveland clinic in Weston FL. It’s about a 25 minute drive. The Bariatric team is awesome. I was treated so well during my hospital stay. I highly recommend them. They definitely live up to their stellar reputation. Over all I feel fine . Just a little sore where they removed the stomach. On surgery day they gave me Tylenol and nausea meds prior to surgery. That really helped bc when i woke up. I didn’t have any pain just tightness in my abdomen. I didn’t have any gas pain either. I have not had any issues swallowing or vomiting. Extremely smooth recovery.

Had my surgery yesterday, 3/9 was able to take sips of water when I got to my room after recovery. Had a slight fever over night so I have to stay one more day just for observation. I also had my first meals today. Was able to keep down broth, and jello no problem. Have not had much gas pain. Just a little sore in my tummy area.

Lol... I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with myself because I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. My surgery is on Friday. #soooeffinreal

How are you doing ?
-
Oh my! I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or bad. Did you request pictures? My surgeons office said they remove about 70%. How did things go for you? How are you feeling now?

Amen

I got lucky. I don’t have a “liquid diet “ until 2 days prior to surgery. For now I am to do 1 protein shake and 2 meals with veggies and meat only.

Calling March Sleevers
Cjackson82 replied to AskingForAFriend's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh wow, insurance companies can be such a pain sometimes. I also have a “low BMI” 38 when I started the process. With high blood pressure controlled with medication. I have Cigna OAP. While going through all the test found out I also have mild sleep apnea. Luckily, I was approved with no problems got the good news just 5 days after office submitted. -
March 9th here! Excited a little nervous. Start pre op diet on 2/23 and pre op appt with surgeon 3/1

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. It is the anesthesia that terrifies me. But yes, your absolutely right from what I researched the process has come along way and it’s now considered safer then the surgery itself. Thank you so much for sharing. I feel better about it. -

Is this your first surgery? It will be for me. That’s the only reason I’m nervous. Scheduled for March 9! My pre op appt is on March 1. Start pre op diet on 2/23. -
