Best of luck to you! The liquid diet is a little rough the first few days but don’t let it get you down.

Popsicles and gum were my best friends.. both sugar free of course

Next time you go to the doctor, have them measure you accurately. Or have a friend weigh a measuring tape help lol

I have 5 incisions, one is bigger than the rest where they took the stomach portion out. Mine were sewed on the inside and covered in some sort of glue, not sure what it is. When can you switch to the soft food phase? I'm supposed to be going for a follow up Tuesday, and hopefully can get cleared. I need textureeee so bad lol. I'm so mentally hungry for something, its crazy. I'm not actually physically hungry, i haven't been since surgery. But im craving things so bad. My doctor/nutritionist are both pretty strict about vitamins and i had to start them the day i got home. I take a Calcium, Multivitamin, Iron, Vitamin D, and B12. Its alot, and has to be spread out during the day because calcium cant be taken with iron, and you can only take so much calcium at a time. Its a pain. -

i dont have much pain now from my incisions. The biggest incision is the main one thats caused issues, its still a little sore when i sit down, especially if i get in my car. Are you able to sleep in bed ok? I've been crashing in our recliner lol I'm just glad the gas pain is basically gone. Food wise..well..I'm so sick of protein shakes. I'd be happy if i never had to see one again. I've been drinking Premeir protein, try to get two a day which gives me enough protein for the day, but its a struggle because i hate them. Sometimes when i drink water, it makes me nauseous, but hasn't been too bad. What kind of vitamins are you taking? I have chewables that came with a free prescription, and they're so chalky that i dont think i could use them long term. -

You need to contact your insurance company. I'm not familiar with the insurance you have, just speaking from what I know. The bariatric center can accept your insurance, but if you don't have a Ryder on your insurance to cover bariatric surgery, it won't matter what they accept. Even if I had insurance through the same company as you, we may be covered in different things. So checked with them on coverage and also what they require for it to be covered. Most companies have a weight reduction program period and possibly more. -
How long did the process take for you?
PTundra6 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone! I'm about to start the process to get approved for surgery; insurance is requiring me to go to the doctor for a weight reduction program for 6 months and a psych evaluation. My question for you guys that already have a surgery date: How long did it take you from the beginning of the process to the time you scheduled surgery? Did you have to take any extra steps because of the insurance? -

We have Blue Cross and ours is basically the same, with a psych evaluation. My first appointment with a primary physician is August 28. What all did you have to do with your doctor? Have you had an appointment with a surgeon at all? Before you were approved -

Were you not required to go to a doctor for a weight reduction program first? -
Stupid question, but do they strip you nude in surgery?

First off, this is for bariatrics. If you're only 115 lbs and have never been higher than 175, why are you even on here? Secondly, everyone has different issues which caused their weight gain. Google it. Everyone here is already at their breaking point with their weight, to the point that they're considering extreme measures. They don't need you belittling them for being overweight and throwing your weights in their face. Go away. K, bye. [emoji1308]
