    Resolution of Sleep Apnea

I tried sleeping without my cpap because of the dry mouth. It seemed like pressure from the cpap was forcing my mouth open, so I slept with a pillow under my chin to keep my mouth closed. That helped, but the pressure was still too much. I am 6 weeks since gastric bypass, 31 lbs less than before surgery and I no longer sleep with my cpap. As a result the dry mouth issue has resolved itself.

    Buyers regret

Wow, it's nice to know that I am not alone. I am almost 3 weeks post op bypass and I am really regretting this. It's not about missing or mourning food, I just don't feel right. I had a very difficult time with whey protein, but I'd rather put up with the discomfort than try to palate the soy (I could not even swallow the soy- It was disgusting). But I am tired, depressed and just have no motivation to do anything. I don't know when I'm hungry or full, but I just feel lousy after a few hours. I know this has to get better, it's been a rough start.

    Can't drink Protein, HELP!

I am having a difficult time tolerating protein as well. Before surgery (gastric bypass 7 days ago) I was easily drinking Premier Protein and Isopure. After surgery, I had trouble tolerating the protein jello in the hospital and anything I mixed my Unjury powder with. I had a constant bad taste in my mouth, a coating on my teeth and tongue, and when I burped it left a rotten taste. I also experienced dumping. Turns out I can no longer tolerate the whey protein. Dr. told me to switch to soy protein. Now I am trying to figure out the best way to use the unflavored soy and not have to deal with the taste.
