  1. Your feeling pain? Is it from the incisions or just after eating/drinking. You may have a lot of acid in your stomach still. I suggest taking omeprazole which is a acid blocker and will prevent acid reflux.
  2. My diet when like this 1 day of clear liquid hospital) 1-3 weeks of full liquids (second hospital day, after one week, incorporate at least one pureed food to see if you can handle it) At 1 week and two days, I attempted tuna, no water or mayonnaise. It held down. The next day, I had tomato soup. It held down good. Next day, I had tomato soup with some tuna in it. I recently tried cream of chicken and held it down perfectly. Next stage is soft foods, which I'll attempt to try Thursday or Friday. After that, I goto my first healthy weight visit instead of the surgical team visit and we can maybe move to solid foods. Every doctor/but is different!
  3. You don't feel hungry simply due to the fact your stomach is most likely still swollen. You may want actual food or have the desire for it because your brain is still in the beginning stages of the diet after surgery. If you begin to feel queasy, pain in the chest, or basically like food is stacking in your stomach, your full and should stop. If you are drinking and eating at the same time, you should stop that immediately.
  4. It seems your just nervous love, and the stitching on your stomach will remain sore, if it's the larger one where the stomach was pulled from. You also might be taking sips too quick or larger quantity sips. Did you do clear liquids the first night and did the Doctor/Nurses clear you for full liquid to see if you could handle it? It's also good that you have thrown up also, but in the hospital, they do give you medicine to prevent nausea and a small patch behind your ear to do the same.
  5. Hey Kaddy! First off, congratulations on even getting the surgery! For the first week or few weeks I should say, your stomach is still healing and may even still be swollen, which means you won't feel hungry. Even after the swollen tissue returns normal, you'll feel full, however, you have to remind yourself to eat and get that protein! Everyone's stomach size varies, even though they removed 75-80% of your stomach. You might be able to drink more but your only supposed to take sips here and there to prevent becoming full and having discomfort. You'll still be a little sore bending over, twisting your body and even laying down, it's all normal, and yes, you may feel weak due to lack of sleep and energy, try to take naps here and there. When you eat/drink, you'll begin to feel your stomach get discomfort and almost like a pain in the chest like foods stacking up in the stomach. If you want to personally talk, shoot me a message! Surgery went amazing!

Congratulations! I had mine done on 8/4/2017, and I'm only 16. I was upset and nervous going in and on top of that, they couldn't get the IV to thread correctly and ended up getting a swollen arm and now I have major bruises! It was worth all the trouble! I'm done 21 pounds!
  7. I had my surgery on 8/4/2017 and was given clear liquids for a day then full liquid the next. I was lucky enough to keep everything down but didn't finish anything or come close to it. To this day, I can barely eat anything and end up putting it away. You seem to be having an odd issue with only keeping water down and not feeling sick. If I drink just cold water, I feel my stomach get full quick and it gets queasy. If I drink Vitamin Water Zero or Propel, I can drink a few sips and not feel queasy, just full/it's uncomfortable. If you were holding everything down in the hospital, you should be able to hold those same things down now, unless your stomach staples or stitching came lose or undone. Your might also just not like the other stuff your drinking/eating due to taste buds. Are you able to keep everything down, but you just feel uncomfortable?
  8. I had my life changing surgery on August 4th, 2017. The day of my pre-op liquid diet, I lost 11 pounds. Went from 352 to 341. On the day of surgery, my weight was 341, as my pre-op diet wasn't two weeks. Today marks exactly two weeks since my start of the surgery and I'm down to 320. That is a 32 pound drop in less then a month, with 21 pounds being lost in two weeks. Hopefully it continue. I yet to feel hungry and it seems hard to even drink my three protein shakes daily. We'll get there. Picture of myself as of 8/17/17
