    I made it outttttt wooohoooo

    Congrats! Welcome to sleeve-city!
  2. I'm a civilian working on a military base. This week, two of the soldiers I work with commented "you're looking thinner" and "you look like you've been losing weight". Yay! I'm sure it didn't hurt that last weekend I found a new pair of black pants that fit instead of just sagging all over. 26 pounds down since surgery....

    Starting to notice!

I'm so used to being "ma'am" and feeling like I look like their grandmothers too. It was great!

How fast did weight start coming off?

You may have been swollen after surgery and ivs and had to lose that as well. You're on track, I'm sure, but your surgeon will talk to you about it at your followup Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. 6 weeks out and this is so true. And the bam! seems to happen faster if I forget to slow down or chew chew chew
  9. fork tender and mashable - yep. My NUT told me for some soft things like scrambled eggs, rather than mash them with the fork, just chew them well. Made food so much more appealing!

    The mystery of Oatmeal

I love oatmeal. Except I bought some think thin protein oatmeal while pre-op. One bowl of that almost turned me off oatmeal. However, I still have it so maybe I'll give it a 2nd chance tomorrow night in order to get some protein in for dinner. But if it's still nasty, it's going away!
  11. I tried a scrambled egg when I first went on purees. It took me a long time to get half of it down. I have had another since, but actually have had more luck with hardboiled (while on soft foods). Pureed chicken salad (yours sounded good - mine had greek yogurt, lemon juice, dried onions and herbs) went down a lot better. And I ate a lot of lowfat cottage cheese. I mixed ricotta with vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and some splenda. Texture was a bit gritty but the flavor was good and it went down well.
  12. Yay! Of course every program is different, but 1 week post op my surgeon nor NUT were surprised by my low calorie intake. They just wanted to know about protein and fluids. At 4 weeks out I'm at about 670 calories per day. With such low food volume, it's tough to get more in. My program stresses 3 meals and no snacking if one can help it Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. My insurance required 3 mo supervised loss and my surgeon required that I lose 15 pounds. Tough over the holidays but I lost 17. I started by substituting a protein shake for breakfast daily and limiting carbs. Eventually did shakes for lunch as well. It made the transition to liquids a bit less shocking I think Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

  16. Yay! You're on your way! I was so sleepy and preoccupied the morning of my surgery that I forgot what my weight was on my home scale and didnt write it down. So I use the morning of my preop appointment as my starting point. Doc uses first visit last year. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. For me, pudding was a puree, but@fluffychix had a great idea to thin down regular yogurt with protein drink Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Undies question....

Bare beneath, hospital socks with tread. No undies until I went home. I normally am not fond of commando mode, but on pain meds, etc, I really didnt care Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    New Premier Protein flavor!!!!

I haven't had any problems with premier post surgery, but do find that i like the caramel and vanilla less than I did preop and the chocolate more. Haven't tried the cookies and cream yet, but picked up the peach from Sams when I found out. It's good. The first sip was really a peach wow. That tapered as I continued to drink but I enjoyed it!

    I Need Some Serious Help!

It kills a Wolverine to agree with a Buckeye, but Kakatlady speaks the truth! Shake yourself and remind yourself why you had surgery in the first place. If you want to get there, you have to leave that junk alone! Some day you can have ONE reeses egg again, but not now. Do not hurt yourself after you did all the work to get to surgery!
