I was overweight and completely miserable with myself when I looked into LapBand!  I had gained about 50 pounds within a year due to a medication I had been taking.  I had always suffered in the past with my weight but it had gotten out of hand!  My daughter was suffering because I had no energy and I was depressed, so I decided to do the right thing for me and my daughter and go see my Dr.  I watched a commercial about the Lapband and got my info together and went in armed with questions!  My family Dr. and I got together enough AMO to send in to my insurance and they approved me within 2 weeks!  I was amazed and so was he frankly!  
I had my Dr apt with Dr. Morton in Dec. 2005 and got banded in Feb 2006.  It was the best Decision of my life!!!  I went from 215lbs to 128 lbs!  I feel like my old self again, and love doing the things I use to.  My daughter doesn't remember how I use to be, but I do.  It feels great to be this size!
