That is amazing! You look great, and I'm sure are much more healthy. I can't wait until I don't dread the dressing room!

Congratulations! I am new here, too. Surgery almost 5 weeks ago. I went through a little bit of that--crying and not really knowing why. I hope you are doing better.

Congrats! I had a really hard time getting in and out of bed. It gets a little easier everyday. I did too much bending a week out, and then was in pain for a couple days so take it easy on yourself!
-
I felt the same way, Claire! I am 4-5 weeks out, and I feel much more restriction than I did initially.

I know every doc says something different but mine said aside from carbonated ones, liquid won't stretch your stomach, it goes right through.

2 days?!? I had to do 2 weeks, and was just about dying by the end!!! Ok, enough whining. I don't like plain broth, so I used the flavor packs out of Ramen noodles. Tons of popsicles, jello, and tea. By the end of the 2 weeks, I was so desperate I drank pickle juice. -
I am almost 5 weeks post op. This may sound ridiculous, but sometimes I don't know if I am hungry, or if it is just pain. It seems like a lump in my stomach, even if I haven't eaten recently. Had anyone else had this, or am I losing my mind?? [emoji12]

Yes, Pepcid in the am. I've heard Prilosec is better, will try when I run out. -

So sorry you went through that as a kid. -
After reading posts on here, there are huge differences in what the docs say. Mine said no carbonation ever. No alcohol for a year, better if never again. Full of empty calories, and said that many people become dependent bc of depression from having the surgery.

JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?

Thanks! That is good to know! -
I had a lot of pain, too. I was a little surprised, everyone I talked to, and most YouTube vids seemed like the pain was minimal and recovery quick. It was a rude awakening to me. But every day got a little better.
