Two weeks out from surgery and struggling
Pakko replied to Duffman's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well at my point of view, and what had me crazy those first weeks was that i needed to learn the difference between hunger and HEAD HUNGER, your body is changing and just fot the procedure you shouldn't be hungry, ask yourself am i reslly hungry or its just my brain that is used to a larger meal, also you will be able to eat in NORMAL CONSISTENCE, BUT IN LESS AMOUNT AND WITH BETTER QUALITY. What im tryint to say is give it a little time itll get better. Sent from my VOG-L04 using BariatricPal mobile app -

As someone Who suffers from depression i have to say, that is kinda normal -ish to deal with those kind of thoughts, we are humans we cant be happy all the time its ok to feel sad sometimes but if u feel those feelings are afecting more than they should you should consider getting help, in my experience a psichologist has helped me a lot. And yeah of course you have your family and you have to be a role model, but do it for yourself in the first place and then do it for your family, might sound a Lil bit selfish but being ok for someone else isnt the way Sent from my D6503 using BariatricPal mobile app

Ty, and congrats on makig this decision, it will be hard, the tip i can give u, i did a jouney book starting with my heaviest weight photos and the labs the doctor ordered, the first diets, photos of my surgery day before and after surgery, my first meals, thoughs, and stuff, when i feel like sad or depressed i look at that book and i remember myself why i chose this path. If u would like to see my book/ ask question or something just give me a number or an email and i would be happy to share my experience with you Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app

first emotional breakdown...13 dpo...RNY regret?!
Pakko replied to rny.newlife's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
But lets just clear the air... are you hungry or is it "head hunger" you need to identify those two because when i was in my first month i wanted to eat what i was used to but i knew that if i had it infront of me i couldnt possibly eat it. Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app -
Well as a guy dating after wls, here are some things i did, i did talk to my date and told her i was on a diet cuz i was trying to lose weight, after that we avoided like food dates, we would go to the park, to the zoo or even to a nearby park to feed the squirrels, after we started a relationship, i came clear about my wls, and she would be supportive about it, we even started to go to the gym together so we can keep motivated, i dont know if keeping a secret my wls was good or not but i think that a relationship needs to be true so... thats what i did. Chest hurts when eating stuff
Pakko replied to KKLive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe eating to fast, my dr said u have to chew 30 to 40 times each bite, so i had de bad habit of eating and watching tv or reading, so i was distracted and as u can guess i ate a lot and didnt even realize after surgery i did that once and i swore never again, i had the most painfull cramp i ever had. So now if im going to eat i go to my table and eat calmly and chew chew chew, 30 to 40 times and im feeling a lot better, not to mention mr. Devil cramp has never returned Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app -
Hello, i totally get you, i used to be in your shoes, but my nutriologist said to me "your work its to follow my instructions and excersice, dont weight yourself at home, thats my job, if u dont drop weight its me who should be worried" and i did that i locked my weighing machine, and i only get my weight at my appointments, trust me we all wanna see the difference in a matter of days, i mean we are eating less than a baby, and the cravings and our body is crazy in those moments, just give it a little time and you will see the results. In my case i weighted my self 3 to 4 time per day so i was kinda falling into obsession, im doing my job and the weight will drop by its own. Dont worry, its the best thing you could have done. Chest hurts when eating stuff
Pakko replied to KKLive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well everyone has different nutricional plan but in my experience i get that kind of sensation when i eat fast, too much or the food has a lot of fat example i can eat chicken really good but if i fry a lil bit that chicke or add a lil bit of pam my stomach reacts, i have the "pain sensation" and i cant eat much. Doesnt happen when i get fat free or steamed meals Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app -
