Two weeks out from surgery and struggling
Pakko replied to Duffman's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well at my point of view, and what had me crazy those first weeks was that i needed to learn the difference between hunger and HEAD HUNGER, your body is changing and just fot the procedure you shouldn't be hungry, ask yourself am i reslly hungry or its just my brain that is used to a larger meal, also you will be able to eat in NORMAL CONSISTENCE, BUT IN LESS AMOUNT AND WITH BETTER QUALITY. What im tryint to say is give it a little time itll get better. Sent from my VOG-L04 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Well i have to say its not as bad as i tought its more evident in the arms, to help with loose skin ive been having ultrasound and massages in my stomach so its not really baggy, and on top of that i wear a bodyshaper to keep everything tight. Sent from my D6503 using BariatricPal mobile app

As someone Who suffers from depression i have to say, that is kinda normal -ish to deal with those kind of thoughts, we are humans we cant be happy all the time its ok to feel sad sometimes but if u feel those feelings are afecting more than they should you should consider getting help, in my experience a psichologist has helped me a lot. And yeah of course you have your family and you have to be a role model, but do it for yourself in the first place and then do it for your family, might sound a Lil bit selfish but being ok for someone else isnt the way Sent from my D6503 using BariatricPal mobile app

Ty, and congrats on makig this decision, it will be hard, the tip i can give u, i did a jouney book starting with my heaviest weight photos and the labs the doctor ordered, the first diets, photos of my surgery day before and after surgery, my first meals, thoughs, and stuff, when i feel like sad or depressed i look at that book and i remember myself why i chose this path. If u would like to see my book/ ask question or something just give me a number or an email and i would be happy to share my experience with you Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app

Well i got my surgery date 3 or 4 months after my first surgeon appointment but i guess its different depending on your insurance and surgeon. And well i did mine in México and was selfpaid guess that moved things a little bit faster, but even if its a month or 6 months away know that this has changed many peoples lives for the better, i can asure you it did with mine, im just 3 months post op rny gastric bypass and now im living completely different from what i used to. I see my before surgery pictures and they seem like it was another life, like that person its not me anymore. Keep up!!. Sent from my SM-N920C using BariatricPal mobile app
