i'm down to a 4x. oh! and in orientation in my new job today the store manager put the smack down on 4 teen girls who thought it would be cool to snicker at the fat lady (me) working in the plus size dept. in front of a bunch of other people he not so kindly reminded them I would be making 3x their income. I like him. and he is cute too.

I had the peanut butter kid. And let me tell you, we have found him in dirty situations before. The kids are redheads, and I put sunlotion on them every morning. One morning I came into their room, and my daughter was sitting in my sons crib (he was a little over one at the time) and his face waste covered in white paste. his whole face. I got close and realized the paste was diaper rash ointment. His entire face. And his ears. Totally white. Emily said she was putting on the sunlotion, but she was very upset it wasn't rubbing in. Another time I had just gotten out of the shower, and emily came to me saying Andy was in the fridge. So I went around the corner and there he was. Naked (the boy is a little nudist). standing in front of an open fridge. He had something dripping off of him and his hair was goated in slime. He looked at me, smiled, and broke and egg on his head. I then noticed all the broken egg shells on the floor. My boy is a real boy. We have to bathe him at least 2 times a day. Today he came home a darker color, because he rubbed dirt all over his bare spots. He said he did it to be tan. LOL

you can write off the medical bills, the expense going along with the travel, the special diet before and after, the fills and follow up. If it has to do with your weight loss, you can deduct it. Even the workout eq you buy.

Omg DeLarla. Everyone was over this. Why are you beating a dead horse?? I never degraded any thing. If you want me to get into my own personal life, it is something that DH and I enjoy. Let me say this really clearly so that you get it... I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE SEX THREADS, POLITICAL THREADS, WEIGHT LOSS THREADS, OR RELIGIOUS THREADS. Nothing offends me. And I try not to offend others. I keep my sex talk in sex threads marked with clear thread titles. I never have and never will put down anybodies sexual experiences or choices. Why do you find it necessary to continue to drag this thread through the dirt. The rest of us moved on, and were talking about many other things. You had to come back here and bring it all back down. I am not sure why. Esp when you have said that you are over the anger you were dealing with this morning. I just don't get it. As for pnut and dawg, that was a pretty rude thing to say about him standing by her side feeding her what to say. You see her as his puppet? Or is that not what you meant? Either way, I think it was inflamatory, and really just purely uncalled for. I happen to know Pnut and Dawg. Pnut does all of her own speaking. She is intelligent enough to deal with people on her own. And if she was Dawg's puppet, you probably would have been sat down earlier this morning. As it was, he is at work, and she was dealing with trying to save his grace after you so riteously decided to stomp on it. What loving wife wouldn't do that. If you want to point out where I persoanlly "degraded what many find a very pleasurable experience" that would be great! I would really like to see that.

Sweety, buck up. surgery is hard at anytime. But you have thought about this before making the decision. You will be fine, and you will feel better after, knowing you made such a great choice for your future health. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHhahahahahaheeheeheehee I needed that. And BTW...Peanut Butter and nakedness can sometimes be a bad combonation. True story, and I tell this because I know my son is going to grow up to be a trouble maker. Best to have his nasty little stories out in the open. We tell the kids to go get dressed one sunday, and DH and I head into the bathroom to get ready for the day. Daughter comes in and says "andy's stuck." I ask, "where?" She says "closet" She is 3, he is 2. This can't end well. I walk into the guest bedroom, and he has climbed the wire shelves in the closet where he is sitting, naked on the top shelf... Covered from head to toe in smooth peanut butter.... The empty costco jar of peanut butter is sitting next to him. The shelves below him are clean. So his definition of "get ready for breakfast" is to climb to the highest place, sans diaper, and make an offering to the peanut butter gods. It took a two hour bath and lots of soap to get him all clean.

I saw this in heather's post, which I am not seeing from you DeLarla. You have stated a few times in this thread that you enjoy pissing people off. Lets look at your post. You first one in this thread. Then don't read it. Its just like the sex threads. If people don't like it, they can switch threads. But you really shouldn't go off and piss people off because you have deemed yourself "right". Not a personal attack. I am aware of this. But a pretty inflamatory remark, esp to the ones that created or participated in that thread and enjoyed it and gained something new other than weight from it. Why be so hateful of a thread that helped people? I do not think you are a nasty bitch, but I am confused. Again, you state clearly that you do not want to read anything about "bullshit" temptation. Then don't read it. But why does that mean you need to attack the thread itself and its ideas? You asked for an intelligent fight. I, being a debate champion (dorky title, I know) would love to debate this intelligently. So lets stick to points so no one feels personally attacked for any reason anymore. Or else I will just have to get silly and fire bomb this thread with nonsense. LOL

Why do this? At least with the thread headers people can tell for the most part that a thread may or may not contain info they want to read. But to do this forces people to deal with things they may find offensive. Now you want to force someone to feel uncomfortable? Of course anyone can find offense in anything, but that is really over the top. And I am saying this as someone who use to own a sex shop.

Temptation isn't what made me fat. But it is something that made a lot of others fat. Some can help themselves to get skinny by getting rid of temptation. Some cannot get away from temptation. That sucks. Personally I have no problem with this thread. That is why I am reading it. I don't let what others write on a board piss me off. I also have no problem discussing this without letting it get to me personally. Debate topics should not be discussed if the poster can not keep their emotions out of it.

I am defending the temptation thread, and have stated that other people have enjoyed that thread, not just dawg. I do not claim to know the mind of Pnut. I just posted why I thought maybe she took your post the way she did. You obviously are very against the ideas expressed in the temptation thread, and that you cannot deal with temptation, that temptation is what has made you fat. I am paraphrasing, and that is what I gleaned from your post. If I am wrong I apologize. But, again, this is your experience and your opinion. If the temptation thread helped people, why can't it be there. It saddens me that someone pm'ed someone else about a lifestyle. That isn't what this place is about. But in a round about way, it is the same thing you are doing. You arre putting down a thread, and people who agree with that thread because it doesn't work for you. That makes me sad. I am not happy to see people struggle, but there should not be backlash at people who do things differently and succeed. And outwardly badmouthing a thread and the ideas in it is what you are doing. I agree with the sentiment that all the threads should be left alone. Be it sex, politics, religion, or weight loss tactics. Why hate on any of it? Just don't read what doesn't work for you.

Do you see where it is the same thing tho? The sex threads, the religious threads, and the political threads are not for every member of the board...but neither are all of the weight loss threads. All the threads should be posted, and the original posters should not be thrashed for their starting those threads. In the immortal words...Can't we all just get along?!? LOL

I am glad you feel this way. Open minds are a good thing. But that also appies to threads on dieting and weightloss that you might not agree with. It has to be a two way street. It cannot be "deal with my threads, but I don't have to deal with yours." I know that is extreme, and not what you are saying, but there has to be understanding on both sides. And the Temptation thread has much more to do with weight loss directly than chatting about anal sex. As fun as that topic could get...it would still end up in the lounge. This is probably why Pnut took the post the way she did. That and the PM's she has gotten from other people. I might be wrong, but I am venturing out on a limb here. The temptation thread left a lot of people really happy, and a lot of people really pissed. Its not the first thread, or the first board to do that. But I think that Dawg had good intentions. It also was a wake up call to a few people who have had great success since that thread was posted. I think that is great. But I have to say one thing. Anger directed at someone who posts a thread, with a hard question to pose for some of us is not expressing a holier than thou position. No one here is better than anyone else. And anyone who feels they have all the answers for everyone is selling something. Dawg, and others in the thread who supported him, stated very clearly that the topic may not be for everyone. I didn't see a holier than thou additude anywhere in any of that. You are really upset, lisa, and I am not clear as to why, but I hope you have a better day. If posts on this board are making you upset, maybe it is time to take a break. I know a lot of people would be upset about that, but you are the master of your own destiny. I hope that you are able to decide quickly so that you are not living in anger for long.

I have not been banned yet, but I have chosen Dr. Sanchez because of his banding history, the guest house, the hospital, and the future of my band. I have heard nothing but great praise about him, and feel I made the best choice for me.

I can barely see straight. It is no big secret that today is Valentine's day. So here is how my day went. No no...let me preface this. Last week, because I control the budget, I put $200 in DH's wallet. I laid several blatant hints that the money was for his ability to buy a gift this year for Valentines. He complains every year that he does nothing because he never has cash to spend in his wallet. So today I wake him up with aa very treat. Shall we say he got a nice wake up call and my lips were numb for about 30 minutes after. I take him to work, and drop the kids off, then go get my toes and nails done. He likes that, and I pick out a color that is sure to get him going. I call him to see if he wants to meet for lunch...I am already at the mall where he goes to lunch. He says no...he needs quiet time. I think "okay...gift buying time." So I go home. I clean up (we are about to move so the place is a mess.) I go to the other room and REASSEMBLE the freakin dining room table so we can have dinner tonight. I take the chairs out of the closet. I give the dog a bath (something I have been asking him to do). I get all dressedup. I go to the grocery store and buy some sole and shrimp and potatoes and pre-prepare a fabulous dinner...ready to throw in the stove. I go and pick up the kids, so he doesn'thave to walk in (hee hates it in there). I pick him up. He is all depressed. "whts wrong?" I ask. "nuthin..." he replies. We get home, and it does not take a genius to see he did not go shopping. So I tell him..."Can you go to the store and get some wine? I forgot" So he goes out, and I make dinner. He is gone 2 HOURS!!! food is cold. He gets home, I reheat the food, kids are already in bed. I put it on the table, candles lit. He comes to the tble, grabs the plate and wine, and walks over to the couch and sits down to watch the olympics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remindhim that the table is back out and made up for a reason. He says..."oh, sorry." Comes back to the table, and complains that the fish is a little tough. I tell him that is because I had to reheat it. He wolfs it down without saying anything to me, puts the dishes in the sink, and kisses me on the forehead and thanks me fore dinner. then goes and sits back down. I keep thinking he is going to surprise me with a gift. I am now in bed. he is not. He is still watching tv. I am in bed because I have a really early morning meeting tomorrow. Just a LOVELY V-day. I hate men. I mean what the hell?!?! I married a great guy!! What the hell is going on??? Why is he suddenly an asshole? On today of all days????

realistically....doctors say that it take one to two years for your skin to shrink as much as it is going to to the new you. it also takes about that long for your brain to figure out that you are skinny again. dlayed response...but at least in 2 years you will officially be a skinny. in heart mind, skin, fat and soul. :confused:
