  1. get the band done. if the hernia isn't incapacitating, you can get approval for it later, and have it done maybe when you have a bit of a tuck done.

    Mexico or States

if you go to a good doc in Mexico they will recommend a few docs in your area to work with on your aftercare if you decide to not go back to them and the surgery. my doc has me set up with a fill doc that is approx 10 minutes away from me. I can afford to go to a doc here in the states, but I prefer going to a doc that has done WAY more surgeries than the ones here in the states. Plus I think it is silly to spend more than you need to if you can spend less and get better care and service. At least this is what I am dealing with locally. the doc i chose in mexico has done over 5000 bands, is one of the early pioneers, works out of an american owned hospital that is like a 5 star resort, and you get to stay at his guest house when not in the hospital. They even pick you up and take you back to the airport. My cost for everything, airfare included, is 9100. much better than paying a doc here who is going to require me to jump through hoops for him to prove that I want the band, even when I am trying to throw 21000 in his face to do it. sorry, i don't need that hassle.

Y'all gotta bring your own spoons. soup spoons are allowed, but nothing larger. no ladles. no veggie serving spoons. remember though, if you bring a teaspoon you are prolly gonna get screwed. should i pick up any other flavors. blue doesn't make anything bad. if y'all want, you can all come to my house. we'll kick my husband and kids out, and spend our days gorging on ice cream sitting out in my backyard in the florida sun. 89 and sunny today.

all nurses or doctors. i need help

i think this is the solution they used on me in the hospital last night to see if I could get a pill down. They had me gargle with this funky milky light pink solution. they wanted me to swallow it, but i just couldn't. it did help if only for a moment. maybe 15 to 20 minutes. but that might have been cause my pain level was so high. at one point they asked me, on a scale of 1 to 10, ten being the worse, how would you rate your pain level? I sat there, crying, back muscles siezing. I said "7". The woman says, "its ok. you don't have to be strong. this seems like it might be a ten" my husband pipes up and says "you weren't there for the birth of our daughter. There were 5 medical people in the room and they all started laughing, a lot.

yeah, call your doc. if it broke the skin you do not want to take any chances. and if it walked away it could be that it cannot fly. call the daycare and let them know that there is a bat on the grounds. if they can catch it they can test it for rabies and determine if she needs the shots. but i really think you need to call your doc quickly.

all nurses or doctors. i need help

the pain pills really make things easy. i have been able to drink chicken broth today, just forcing it past my throat. with the edge taken off of the pain i can really force myself to drink some. i have been getting a little bit of water, and a little bit of broth. about a cup and a half of each. tomorrow i am going to try some pudding. I can't get that down now.

all nurses or doctors. i need help

i can get them past my throat while it is numb. but that is the only way. i just took my last antibiotic pill, so they said they wanted to see how that went and see if there was any improvement. we will see. if it does nothing, i am not going to just sit around. i agree that these infections can spread if not caught and corrected quickly. I am not going to just sit around and let my throat rot out.

    weird energy buzz

LOL don't be intimidated by their workouts. they are just crazy. LOL I think there is a period of time when the body switches over to burning its fat for energy, and the better food we eat is burned more efficiently. its pretty normal. i went through that a few times when I dieted. mix it with a good walk and you have the recipe to lose weight.

Hubby Doesn't want Wife to work

i think the key is to not only look for people who are stable, and have the right answers to all of your questions, but also know them long enough to where you can trust their answers. you need to make sure they are not just blowing smoke up your ass. and you need to not only make sure that financially they have a good foundation, but that it is one you can see living off of and raising a family on. how much do you think it would take to raise a family of four in your home town with a house and school and all of that? 40k? 70k? 120k? it really is up to you, and you really do get to choose. you don't have to settle.

all nurses or doctors. i need help

oh yeah, i def can't lay flat. i have cried so much over the past few days from the pain my sinuses are all clogged up. i have been spending all day in this really comfy chaise lounge we have. i have been drinking water, and even got some chicken broth down which was nice. i am soooooo hungry. i tried pudding, but it was too thick. i couldn't even drink an isopure! can you believe that!! so i am sticking to water and broth. i am alternating hot and cold compresses on my throat for the pain and the swelling.

Hubby Doesn't want Wife to work

when rob and I were just friends we used to talk about our wants and desires from a marriage. We talked about the roles that we wished to play, and what responsibilities we felt strong in taking. It actually helped us in becoming boyfriend and girlfriend because we realized how closely matched our goals were. Basically he does not mind if I work, but would love to have someone at home taking care of business. His job keeps him out of the house at the office for long hours each day. Both of us did not believe in daycare until the year before a child starts school. So I remained a stay at home wife, then a stay at home mother for many years. I did a little work from home as a graphics designer, and a web developer, as well as took care of the finances, kept the house, and all of that jazz. It was perfect!! Then my mother got a divorce and her and I spent a lot of time together (we weren't allowed to with my father in the picture) We started a business that allowed us to have a nanny in the home and at the office. It was still not right, and when the business went bankrupt i couldn't have been happier LOL I got to be at home everyday with my babies again. It was glorious!! I only went back to work when we moved to florida and Rob was still looking for a job. I filled in with bartending and quit as soon as he had a new job. He makes plenty to support a family of 4. I now do graphics design work from the home. I can stay here at the house, keep things straight, be here for the kids, keep up the finances, and make another income to match dh's. it puts away money for us, buys us the special things we desire (lapband for instance) and will build up the year's living expenses in savings we had before moving down to florida.

A personal thanks to the owner and moderators

I agree with wavydaby. I have been on many boards, and many weight loss boards, and this is the best run so far. And I am a perfectionist. LOL I one of those that if I can't find a board I like on one particular topic, I make my own. And seeing as how I have not created a wls board, that means something. Penni, Alexandra, Alex...after dealing with you guys personally over the last couple of weeks, I have to thank you for sticking through it all and come to solutions that have been working for everyone. I know its tough, I am in your shoes every day on other boards. Good thread dawg. thank you.
