so am i. even if you don't pay attention to the weight, a 100% scorecard should have you looking and feeling amazing!!! I am realistic in that I will probably gain a little of the weight i lost while i was sick, but that if I keep with the scorecard 100% I should show a really good weight loss for this month. July 4th is a big celebration for me cause I am gonna be leaving for Mexico that weekend. So july 4th is my last hoorah before one big change.

DH and I were watching Miami Ink the other night, and they were doing tattoos that signified life changing moments. This guy got a picture of his cat that he had for 13 years tattooed on him, with the name and dates and in memoriam on it. Not my cup of tea. This other chick got a really pretty lizard on her back i think to symbolize her fiance that passed away. It made DH and I think about what we would get if the one of the kids passed, or if one of us passed. I know..morbid...but it was interesting to talk about. He said that if I died he would get a little redheaded fairy with wicked wings sitting on a gardenia. Gardenias are my favorite flowers, andhe always calls me his wicked little fairy. If he died I would get a small pirate ship on a fair sea. That is just what he is. a smooth sailing pirate. For the kids it was pretty easy. For our son it would be a spider. he loves them, he loves spiderman, and he acts like a spider climbing on everyhting. For our daughter it would be a ladybug. When she was born this nurse came in and said "Her spirit guide is the lady bug". We thought, yeah, whatever, ok. Ever since then no matter where we live, we have issues with ladybugs. they find her. they are always around her. and she has loved them the whole time. they are the only bug she loves. and it is not like we fostered it. but she has become our little lady bug.

i will try yogurt today. i have not been able to eat anything for the last 5 days really. some broth here and there. last night was the first real food i got to eat with those potatoes. it was amazing! LOL

kelly you practically have me in tears here with excitement LOL I can't believe that in little over a month I am gonna have my apron removed, and this mound of fat that has been holding me back is going to be gone forever!! Yeah! I can't wait. I know it is going to be painful. But it is so worth it!

I am very carefully doing a happy dance this morning. Last night my pain started to subside around 9pm. I was so thrilled. I painfully and carefully ate about a 1/4 of mashed potatoes that had been thinned down with some milk. It was HEAVEN!!! Just to have food in my stomach was an amazing feeling. And I actually slept through till it was time for my next pill. This morning I woke up, and whilst still in quite a good deal of pain, I am very much improved!! My swallowing a sip of Water does not send my body into convulsions from my "all over wince" and I am not sitting here doing nothing but crying. DH had to get back to work today. bless him he has taken so much time out of work to help me with this. It is hard cause i am trying to not just yell after the kids for stuff. But they know what is going on and they seem to be on their best behaviors. So I think I am going to have the doctor refill my percoset prescription just for another couple of days. When I am not on it I am still in a severe amount of pain. But with them I think I might be able to eat 3 whole meals today. I actually drank all of my required water last night. LOL And I still haven't peed yet today. Can we say dehydrated?? LOL

Linda Carter. DH says I look like her now that my hair is dark in color. When I came home from the beauty shop he looked at me and sang "Wonda woman!!!!" I just about killed him.

full of protein, but prolly causes a lot of pb's. you might want to thin it with some fruit juice for flavor and consistency.

i think this thread is far from getting locked we are all working hard at proving that we can play well with others. now if we could just get telly to quick running with scissors and Geezer to quit eating glue our report cards home would be spotless.

heya all well i have good news! I feel a LOT better! So much so that I actually got in my Water yesterday. AND I GOT LAID!!! i am counting that as my excersize cause it got my heart rate up, lasted way over 30 minutes, and wore my sick ass out!! LOL This tonsilitis is finally turning. Thank god! I am still in a lot of pain, but not just sitting here crying from it. And I can swallow! I am actually going to eat today!!! I am so excited. I just don't know what to eat. I think I might just do something soft like some redbeans and rice. and maybe some cottage cheese. something like that. But I am not about to gain all the weight back that this illness took from me. If I had to suffer through hell to lose 12 pounds in a week, then dammit i am keeping those 12 poundsoff! LOL Nut! I saw on the list that you have my current weight incorrect. I am not 350 any longer. I am so proud to say that. Rob actually said that he really noticed it when he hugged me last night. said that he could feel the muscles in my back. Cool! I am gonna take pics tonight and put them with my score card. Tht way I can do a before and after for this month as well. Good luck all you GFG'ers!! Lets make this a summer to remember!! um...can i just HAVE colin farrell? DH voted that the body he is working for is like that Tyson guy's bod. Rob (dh) used to be totally ripped. About 210 pounds of solid muscle. Then it went to 210 pounds of solid krispey kreme. Now he is down to 175-180 and looking really trim. He was actually refered to as the "skinny guy" at the party a weekends ago. It was great! He blushed for 5 whole minutes. He says when he gets all the fat off of him, then he is going to build muscle. That way he knows what he is starting with. He can build it quick to. Oh and he just said he will be sure to let me post pics for any girls to drool over. HA! show off. hehehe

yeah, it sounds like the Mega-Pause of life. My mother went NUTZO when her hormones came into play, and she was really going off the deep end on everything. I mean, the woman moved, physically changed apts, all by herself, 5 times in one year. Cost her a fortune with breaking leases and all of that. she ran up her bills. she bought two cars (she is divorced...so really not neccessary) then went bankrupt. I think the declaring bankruptcy was the hardest on her. We saw that as our chance to do something, and intervened. We got her to a doc who changed her diet, and put her on some Hormone Replacement Therapy. She got better really quickly, and eased through the change pretty well. I will have your family in my thoughts and prayers. I know it is really hard. You just have to be firm and strong with her. But at the same time just get in there, get your hands dirty, and take some loads off of her. anything to make her day a little less chore filled. It helps her to focus on other things.

went and saw the doc today. he drew blood and said that if my white count is too high he is going to admit me. he also said that if i get dehydrated again he is going to admit me. no one knows what this is. a lot of shots in the dark, but so far they are just labelling me as acute tonsilitis. its frustrating. the pain is worse today, and i am just tired. i haven't eatin really anything for the past 4 days. and i have barely had anything to drink. yesterday was a good day drink and broth wise. but today it is back to barely being able to swallow my own spit. so this doc is going to watch me, and decide what to do depending on what my blood panel says. I really appreciate all of the warm wishes I have gotten from you all. I prolly sound like such a baby, but I am glad to have a place like this to bitch and moan. this is hard, and i love all the messages about the prayers that are being said for me. thank you so much. uhc is helping new companies, and renewal companies to write in this policy. they are carefully and slowly backing away from the weight loss surgery game.

since his original post was deleted to some heated debates and words that shouldn't have been said, I wanted to bump this thread so that Big Paul's words of wisdom can be shared once again for anyone who wishes to read them. I know that not everyone will agree with this post, but a lot of people believe in these rules, and believe that this is the way to have a successful banded life. i feel like crap with a capital SH. I went to the doc's office again today, cause the pain pills aren't killing the pain any longer, and I can't swallow again. I went in, and they took blood. they are going to see what they find with that. the guy was kind of a jerk. "i want you to come back and see me next week. We will not do surgery for this cause it does not warrant it. But if your white count is high I am gonna admit you. If you are not better tomorrow I am going to admit you. If you show any signs of dehydration in your blood draw, i am gonna admit you." BUT NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT THE HELL I HAVE!!! And they refuse to give me anything that is going to kill the pain. They sent me home with percoset. They gave me morphine in the hospital. This stuff numbs my body and my brain, but it does nothing for my throat. the pain will not go away. ok. i am done bitching. i feel like such a wuss. but this is just killing me.
