Nut, I will do 15 minutes up and down the stairs with ya -
Just want to add that the pian from sitting up is from the air rising and pushing against the opening. I had this happen as well, and it hurt the first few days. try some gas-x strips. it made mine go away and I have no gas pains at all.

telly i will give you huge hugs when i see you. and your appetite is huge because you are doing so much losing. your body is wanting more. have you upped your protein yet? I have to say that you are just amazing. I hope I do as well as you do with this. I even showed your before and afters to my personal trainer and he thinks you are astonishing. -
If you dropped sizes, then you dropped inches. It could be that there was a flaw in the measuring, or something like that. But you do see the change. and you do feel the change. the scale will move. the body takes time to adjust, and should not be expected to adjust overnight.

DH just brought up a question, seeing as how I will have to be ready to just jump on a plane at the last minute when it is time to have my surgery. Do I need to have a passport to get in and out of Mexico by plane? Or will my birth certificate do fine?
-
It is starting on 1/1/07. not 0. but it did go through, and all travel between the countries will not be allowed without a passport. driving or flying.

I think that EVERYONE is different. I am 5ft4 and I felt my best at 110. I have been as low as 93. And as high as 372. I have wide hips and big boobs, but thin bones. And I looked healthy, and felt healthy at 110. A lot of people would not feel healthy or look healthy at 110 though. I think that you need to adjust your goal as you get closer to it.

NO! He does not charge a program fee of any kind. And they give you a breakdown of what your money paid for through the whole process. The band, surgical staff, hospital fees and room for the night, medication, etc. It is quite a simple breakdown, and seeing as how the band itself casts around 3k, the leftover 5500 really gets spread around pretty thin. There is no "fee" to pad his pockets in any way.
-
EXACTLY! I know personally 2 people who are going to be banded now, simply because of my being banded. They never knew about it before that.

With those I bet he can get any number of jobs through a contracting company. And they do all the work for him. Definitely have him call around. It is what Rob did, and he landed an awesome job here in Tampa.

You know, the "panties" vs "underpants" thing in this household is getting a little crazy. Girls wear panties, but boys wear underpants. God forbid if I call them wrong, or DH and the kids lose their minds and yell at me. LOL Rob said he is going to sleep on the couch if I say that he wears "panties" ever again. Its not like I was saying it on purpose, but my mind just doesn't let me think clearly sometimes. LOL

I tell everyone! Its no secret I am fat, and people are going to notice that I lose the weight. If they ask how, then I tell them. If they don't like it, that is their issue. I have told people my plans, and why I walk around slowly now. That way they know what is going on and that I am legitimately in pain or needing assistance. I even told the clerk at walmart when she say all the liquid foods and stuff that I was buying. LOL She looked at it all and said "Someone is going in for surgery aren't they?" I laughed and said that I had just been banded. She thought it was great! And gave me hug before I left.

I know that your daughter loves your dad, but I would not allow them to be around her for a while. I think that you need to sit them down and have a SERIOUS talk to them. Not with them...to them. They have no say in this matter. You tell that that what was said to your daughter was not only wrong, but it was damaging, and that for her protection she is not going to be allowed around them until you can trust how they will treat her. You can also bring up that you do not like the influence they have on her with how they let their kids run around acting the way they do. I had to do that with my dad, and it was hard, but he was doing the same thing to my kids. Refusing to feed my daughter when she would stay over with my parents because he felt she might get fat. She was 1 at the time. Can you believe that?? Now he does not get to see either kid. I know how he treated me growing up, and I (as my children's protector) must not allow him to treat my children that way either. No matter how much they want to see him. It is for their betterment. This is hard, but you know how you felt growing up this way. Do you want that for your daughter? I agree that around her you should call it silly. Laugh it off. And keep feeding her right and working out. That is best. And get her weight under control the healthy way. But please do not allow that woman to do such awful and damaging things to her again.

Marc, here is a big ole fat girl hug for ya. Glad you are here, and glad you will keep reading. I felt a lot like you in some ways before I found this place. And I want to tell you nothing has made me feel more loved and cared for than this board. I hope that you find and make great friends here that can experience this with you. I know I am one of them. I was recently banded in Mexico. You will be fine, you will be banded, and you will have a leg up on fighting this addiction to food. Be sure that you continue to seek therapy for the addiciton. Being sober for all those years means you know the basics. "God doesn't give you anything you can't handle" and "One day at a time" are my two montras that get me through each and every day with this struggle. Good luck to you, cheer up, and lets see you post more. Get involved. It really does make a difference.

I pigged out yesterday too, by bandster means. But I needed to. I have been so low on my calories lately I am constantly tired. I took in a full 650 calories yesterday. I need to try and get closer to 1000. Going to take the kids for a walk today to the park. It is 1 mile away. This will be my workout till I am allowed to workout hard again. Doc said 6-8 weeks. I actually miss it. Scale has not moved. But I am not bummed about it. I know that it will eventually. My incisions are healing well. I am now mostly yellow with a little purple thrown in. Not just all sorts of purples, and some reds. LOL The incisions themselves are pretty clean and healing well. My bruising seems to be moving, as my stomach has taken on a brownish/purplish light tone below where the surgery was done. Eventually it will all be normal. yesterday morning and this morning I have woken up to find that the side opposite the port side is really sore and stiff. I think I am over compensating for the port side, and wearing my stomach muscles out. And the last two nights I have woken up to find myself laying on my stomach. Flat on my stomach. No pain, but i would not consiously do that. I just worry I will hurt something, but I know it will be fine. Hope everyone is well. these are the last few days before weigh in! Get that water in so that your week's totals are fun. Lets see those scales move!! -
Shelly, those pics were just amazing! thank you so much for sharing. You must be smiling nonstop. Welcome to married life, and my prayers for you and your continued bliss together. You both look SO happy, and I love the theme and dress of everyone. It really feels like a lovingly close family wedding. Just awesome!

BGP, get as much water as you can!!! Dehydration GREATLY increases the pain that you have, so get that water in you. Also, try some liquid tylenol. It might help, and will be easy to get down. I am so sorry that you are in pain. It will pass soon. Trust me. I hope everyone is doing well. I am doing good, although the scale has not budged. I am not worried about that. I know that I am healing. I actually got in a whole 649 calories yesterday. LOL I felt a lot better and was not so tired with that. I need to get up to 1000 to lose effectively. Hugs to those who have just been banded, and prayers to those who are about to be banded.

Question for those who have had a breast reduction
FunnyDuddies replied to franp's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Well I guess I am on the other side of the fence. I had it done, and lost 60 pounds recently and I feel like I am ready wet socks on my chest. I would suggest waiting. -
http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=16336235046633759176 This is a cute test. No using the internet for answers. Here is my rating. Bourbon Congratulations! You're 123 proof, with specific scores in beer (20) , wine (50), and liquor (130). Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

That is soooo cool! Andy is totally trained now, and i can't remember the last accident he has had. We have been trying to teach him to go standing up. But unfortunately most public restrooms have toilets that are either too high, or the urinals are too high for him. so he will sit when that happens. But if he can reach, he loves peeing standing up now. and he tells the world when he comes out of the bathroom.
