UGH I LOVE cashews. Problem is if I eat a few, I have to eat the whole can/jar. LOL They are so adictive! the only time I let myself indulge in cashews and honey roasted peanuts is during the holidays. Same with fresh pecans. But cashews top the list.

I LOVE kettle corn. I am a huge fan of fresh made kettle corn. But that stuff is way to high in cals. I like the microwave kind though. its pretty yummy.

KMO yes the soup really did work! I loved it! and i made another batch to keep me going. it is so tastey!! I am feeling better. I agree that the liquid tylenol tastes just awful! But I take it if I need it.

I didn't get drunk cause I wanted to really go slow and take it easy. All our friends were so happy to see us. They all wanted to know about the surgery and how it went, and they wanted to see my battle wounds. LOL They think I look like a stabbing victim. hehehe I danced a little, but only light weight dancing. You know, standing holding onto someone and swishing my hips a bit. None of the jumping around techno music dancing I usually do. LOL I was determined not to work up a sweat. Oh, and last night I wore another shirt i have not been able to button since I bought it. It looked great. Couldn't button it around my boobs, but it was loose around my midsection, very flattering, and I wore a sexy bra since i knew I wouldn't be able to cover the girls very well. yes. it is just really sensitive because the port is stitched into the muscle. it will go away. i was banded a week before you and feel 1000% better already. Don't worry about it too much. Just take your tylenol for the pain, and try not to do too much. you want to let it heal.

LOL yeah, my port area twitches. Makes me crazy. Sometimes I'll just be sitting around and it will twitch and I will have pain. Its frustrating, but there is not much you can do about it. Mine has gone away for a day or so now.

Keep in mind that you are going to find mostly bad stories here because people who are having dificulty are the ones that are searching out support groups. a majority of the people doing really well are not spending time on the board. Rest assured that the band is good, and theloss (while slower than other WLS) is safer than most wls.

mexican restaurants can give you refried beans, salad bars can give you cottage cheese, jello, yogurt, and buffets can give you soup and salad bar stuff and mashed potatoes. most restaurants have soup, and if you tell them that you need mainly the liquid part, and as few chunks as possible in the soup, you will do fine.

if you have ever had a large bruise you will see that it feels warm too. same with any sort of swelling due to a break or sprain. it is totally normal. the only time to worry is when the incisions get hot, very red, have streaks of red running from them, are oozing in any way, and have a foul odor. Then you need to worry about an infection.
