I am a commercial singer. Been in a few jingles, and was a studio singer on a few albums about 10 years ago. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my breathing and phrases. I have also noticed that some higher notes are wavy, as I still do not have the strength to carry them. I am only 2 weeks out, but it was a shock to me about a week out when we were driving up to NC and I just couldn't single. My DH loves when I sing for him, and he said I sounded like I was killing a dog. LOL that gratitude.

I am SLOWLY crawling towards Twoterville. I feel like a drunk trying to walk home. LOL I know I will make it. I got on the scale and I have lost another .5 a pound. that is a total of 2.5 pounds since my surgery on the 10th. slooooooow. but i know it will speed up. i am still nursing a cold i got from being intubated. i think that might be keeping me from losing. i start fish and eggs today, so i am sure with the added protein and the lowered carbs that my weight will start to drop some, and my drunken crawl will sober into a buzzed stagger towards the border.

bwhahahahaha telly i do too. sick huh? LOL We were walking through the mall and the kiosk that does custom embroidery on hats had sold their FUPA hat. I used to have one, but I can't find it anywhere. I think DH took it to work. I wanted to get a new one and take my pic in it for this thread. LOL

I am a stomach sleeper, and slept on my sides the first week. The second week I would start out on my sides, but wake up on my stomach. Last night I went to sleep laying on my stomach. Best night sleep I have gotten since I got the band.

My 3 and 4 year old know about the surgery after the fact, and like to check up on my "booboos". When the babysitter came over the other day I was in the kitchen talking to her, and my 3 year old son runs in and say "my mommy has really big booboos!!" When the first "boo" started coming out the shock on this woman's face was just priceless!!

Ok, he is the first person I thought of when I saw your new pics. Albeit he is a tad smaller than you, and a different eye color, I think you resemble Viggo quite a bit. Could also be because i watched History of Violence last night, but hey...there is a resemblance.

I think some doctors use a numbing needle first if it usually takes them one or two or ten pokes to get to the port, which is dangerous. I have also heard/red that no matter what size band you have, if you have your first fill done under flouro your chances of having proper restriction is very good.small adjustments can be made from there, but the flouro gives the doc a fighting chance at seeing how slow the liquid is passing through your band.

It did destroy me when I lost it. The diamond was actually one that was very important to me. It was only 1/3 of a carat, and had a flaw in it, but it was the training diamond my mom used when she studied to become a gemologist. I used to tell her that I wanted it for my wedding ring one day. I was 8. had no clue about quality. it was just cool to be able to look at a diamond through the microscope. Rob got the diamond from my mom, and had it placed into a setting. I recognized the diamond immediately. I cried for a few days when it happened. Rob's wedding band is on his chain now, because it fell off and he almost lost it. We are going to get his band (which is a wide band of white gold) melted down for my new ring, and two new bands done when we renew our vows. Rob says he might do a 3 stone ring, so that I have a stone for each of the children too. I told him it was up to him, that I wanted him to pick out something special to replace it.

The 10cc band holds 10cc's of Fluid. The 10cm band holds 4cc I believe. I could be wrong on the exact number. That is why it is important to specify which one is which. a 2cc fill in one band is going to give the person a totaly different feeling than 2cc in another.

I love those soups, but you might want to watch how much you eat, or mixin a little sour cream with it. the acidity of the tomatoes can cause swelling and irritation. Just a heads up. It made me sore and i learned the hard way.

I almost did that last night. Just wasn't thinking, was really thirsty, and took a big ole swig. I had a pain in my chest for a few minutes, then it finally went away.

shoot girl I would kill for 9 pounds LOL I have only lost 2 since surgery on the 10th. It is frustrating. But I am wearing a shirt today that did not fit when I bought it. And it looks awesome on me now. And I wore one last night like that too. Don't worry, step away from the scale, and relax some. just focus on healing and going through the food stages. Then you can focus on your weight after your first fill.

I think that because Christmas is the time that the whole family gets together, and that most of them I will not see until that time, I want to make a huge difference in my appearance for my next visit with them. I want them to see that not only I could do it, but that the band was not the huge mistake they think it is. I hope they will celebrate with me in whatever weight loss victory i have by that point, but I really hope that I get my wish for Christmas and get almost halfway to goal.
