I fin it interesting that people are so adamant about these results not being correct. What if they are? Is that going to shatter your world? What if this board is actually one filled mainly with people who would not cheat? Is that a bad thing? I don't understand how an anonymous poll can yeild results and y'all automatically assume that it is all BS because it does not fit into your lifestyle. I think this is getting really funny with how fast so many are willing to say that because one poll yeilded results saying 80% cheat, and our poll is not reflecting that, that the 80% MUST be right. Why not count yourself lucky that you are surrounded by people in really good relationships. Love and respect abound!

And Caine and Speedle melt my heart too. DH saw the final episode where Speedle bit it, but i didn't. He told me what happened and i was devastated. Then one day we are watching CSI miami, and DH says he saw it before, but I hadn't. It was the one where Speedle dies. I was so shocked, and I cried. LOL and I threw mulitple pillows at DH for not telling me that it was the episode where he dies. I miss you, my sweet Rory!!

you pee about as much as you take in because it is constantly recycled. ever notice if you only drink one or two glasses of water you only pee maybe twice or three times that day? But if you drink a lot then you pee a lot. it just gets recycled. People who are proud of their "water weight" being lost, are unknowingly proud that they are dehydrating themselves. LOL

AMEN! LOL really I think we just need to be happy with the choice that we have made. I did research for years on the wls out there, and finally decided on the lapband. I did more research on it for another year after making that decision, because i wanted to make sure i knew everything about it before having it done, and I wanted to pick the right doctor. I know that there are people who go into a doc, or see an ad on tv, and are scheduled the newxt week for surgery and they still don't know if it is the best thing for them. I think that is a dangerous approach. You jsut have to feel comfortable with the choice that you have made. No one knows your body better than you, and that should be who makes the decision for you.

I guess i am the one that had a problem. And i am not really having difficulty with anything. I had two bites of mac and cheese (just your normal kraft cheese and macaroni) and It got a bit of a golf ball feeling. I ate slow, and didn't think the bites were a bad size. It must have just tunred into a ball of nothing. I took a few sips of hot water and it cleared up some. I was eating refried beans with it. nothing else. total meal was approx 1/2 cup.

I can imagine that the harder the meat, the tougher it would be to get it to go down, so I think that cutting your bites into the smallest possible will make it all go well. Personally I am opposite. When it comes to beef, I like it rare. LOL Obviously not the same with chicken and pork. The only food I enjoy really burned is hotdogs. I want my dog black LOL My dh thinks I am nuts, but he always burns a dog for me.

also not local, but wanting to chime in. What was your starting weight and your current weight? 3 pounds a month is obviously a slow rate, but it could be right for what your weight is. there are a lot of variables that go into it. I think Wheetsin is also very right in that you have done a lot of working out. It could be that you have gained a lot of muscle and lost a lot of fat. What size were you when you started and what size are you now? Congradulations on the 31 pounds! Some of us move slowly on this, but at least those are 31 pounds you will not have to deal with again!! :confused:

When my son turned 3 we bought him a cake that had a football theme. Green and blue frosting all over it. The next day EVERYONE, in as tasteful a manner as possible, were exclaiming that the color of everyone's bm's were VERY surprising the next day. Until Emily came running into the room crying, and yelling that she had just pooped play-dough. She was mortified. I think it took me about 3 minutes to stop laughing.

My doc does not have me on it forall time, but has told me that it is smart to take something as a buffer before eating anything spicy. I LOVE spicy food, esp these buffalo wings at a restaurant nearby here called the green iguana. mmm mmm mmm. If I am going to have them tho, I have to take soemthing before hand so that my stomach does not become irritated and swollen.

Andy is a little bit of red in his mohawk he is sporting, but it is closer to a strawberry blonde. My husband is white blonde with the hair, and red in the beard, so the kids were doomed. LOL

As for the question of how do I know if my husband is cheating or not. Well, he is always accounted for. I don't do it, but I know that if I called his office right now, he would pick up the phone. And anytime that he has had to deal with anyone of the opposite sex in his office, or at lunch, he has told me ahead of time. I asked him why he would always tell me, because it was not like I cared, and he said that he wanted me to know ahead of time out of respect. That right there told me that I could trust him. I also have seen him break off friendships with people who have decieved their wives and husbands in any way because of how much disrespect he has for them. I also know he can't get this good anywhere else. LOL

Oh I want to clarify something on my stance here. I am not saying that just the religious hold marriage at a higher standard. I am not saying that at all!! I am only stating that the reason I think that the poll results are as high as they are is due to the fact that we have such a high population of spiritual people on the board. I do not believe for a second that you will have a better marriage soley because you are in a religious marriage. :confused:

I think then that this is a result of the people you are associating with. Not a true slice of what society is like. What I am saying is that on this board, there are a lot of very devout religious folk. In that type of makeup you are going to find more people who respect their vows and marriage to not cheat than who feel that they can cheat, or are married to people who can cheat. That is why the numbers are the way they are. It is not from people diluting themselves. It is just a matter of who makes up the board. If you run in a crowd that has 80% infidelity, then poll results like these would not be expected there. But this is not the crew you hang with. Its not the crew I hang with either. But right here, on this board, I feel these reulst are true based on the dynamics and population of the board. That was my original argument, and I still believe it to be true.

I concur, I think your doc is mistaking the band with the bypass. This surgery is really not as drastic, although it is major surgery. And you do not stretch your pouch over time. That is a gastric bypass issue. I would think that your doctor would do some research before coming back to you with and answer, but since she didn't I would also wonder why she would not want you to get this problem with your weight fixed before it causes lifelong permanant damage and disease like arthritis and diabetes.
