Lapbandtalk Cruise 2007!!! Official Sign Up And News
FunnyDuddies replied to princess_n_thep's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
On this particular cruise is all the food and drink gratis? Just food? If the drinks are not then I am bringing my liquor cabinet LOL I am SO excited! Rob is looking for a few good men to smoke cubans with and enjoy some fine single malt scotch. And you will find us dancing at the club just about every night! We love going full formal on the formal nights, and will be in tuxedo and dress for those nights. While only do a little bit right? Besides, this is the cruise for us to shine on! To show the world how much we have changed! I can't wait to go shopping for cruise wear! -

you know, speaking of Schwan's... in washington we used to have milk men. We had elivery every tuesday, an at the rate this household goes through milk it would sure be nice if we could have milk elivery again. But I have no idea how to find a milk man, or a dairy delivery service in this area. I am in florida, if anyone has any guesses.

My son went missing at swim lessons R U a Teacher?
FunnyDuddies replied to 3loves's topic in The Lounge
Rob saved a child from drowning on Mother's day. a 6 year old girl was in the Water at the beach with her brothers. Both were older, an trying to walk out to the sand bar. They could make it through the dip before the sand bar. The 6 year old girl couldn't. he noticed her during her last flailing attempts for attention an the last time she went under. All I knew at the time was my husband just jumped out of his chair and went running into the water at full speed and drug what looked I thought at the time looked like a wet shirt out of the water. He threw her over his back and ran back to shore. He laid her down, and I ran over. We laid her on her side and patted her hard on the back a few times to see if she neeed CPR or if she could just cough it out on her own. She threw up and starte coughing. About this time her brothers came up to the beach and wanted to know what happened. I asked where the mother was an they pointed her out. I walked over and the woman was asleep!! I woke her up and explaine what happened. She sat there with her daughter in her arms curled up for a good hour after that. The woman almost lost her daughter on Mother's day because her tan and her music in her IPOD were more important. Thank go she did not die. I have been a life guard. I have seen 2 people die from pool related accidents. It is not fun, and I am so glad to hear that you are taking a stand on being able to sit and watch your kids. I know i would fight them if they told me I could not be there to watch and be sure that things went alright. -
The guy who comes and does that yard work for our community regularly saw me the other day and dropped his weedwacker LOL I just stared at this guy, covered in sticky grass, staring at me with his mouth open. I always send the kids out with bottles of cold Water for him, but I haven't seen him in a while. I asked him what was wrong. He chuckled and said "Nothin Mrs. Davis, you are just shocking looking. You have lost a lot of weight, if you don't mind me saying so." It was so sweet. I took him his water and gave him a kiss on the cheek. The guy who works at our grocery store has hit on me, in front of Rob!! LOL I pointed to rob and said that I was taken, and he got red in the face an apologize to him, then told us he always thought we were brother an sister, not husband and wife. Not sure how I feel about that one...

congratz on the hit on!!! Feels good don't it? :huggie: -
Oh what a sweety-face. I would suggest spreading his ashes under a tree where a lot of birds perch. That way his final resting place can be where he can always see birdies. We lost our cat about 3 days ago. He got out and he is not ready for a life outside. I made up over 100 fliers, and went walking with the kids. I would spend the evenings out on our porch shaking a can of Pounce and calling for him. It has been close to 100 everyday. We found him today. A woman down the street was backing out of her driveway and thinks she ran over his tail. He didn't move, an she thought she had run over a leg or something. she came to get me, and when I picked him up he was very lethargic. He is at the doctor's now. The vet says he is fine, just really really dehydrated, and might lose his tail.

Glad to see everyone weighing in! Let me gently remin everyone to not post with your signatures, as it makes this thread a long one to load, and we are trying to keep it as clean as possible. There is a box that you can uncheck when you are posting or eiting your posts that leaves your signature out of the post. Lets all get on this and try to keep the thread clean, esp on days like this when we have a lot of posts for the weigh ins. If my gentle reminder is not heeded, then i will call in the Dawginator and his Fish of Death!:huggie: -
Cheating..No, not with food!
FunnyDuddies replied to kimalicious's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Simmer down now. I never said that you can't express your opinion. I simply asked for explination, and for the thoughts behin your opinion. Plus I have state mine. Don't think for a second because I challenge your opinion I am telling you you can't express it. I am simply questioning the basis for your opinion like people do in debates. An leila, that is a thing that makes you go hmmmm, but keep in min that it would only stand that people are not being truthfull if the same people who clicked answers for the poll also answered in the thread. This is not a controlle enough environment to make those considerations. I myself have not answered the poll, only posted. I rarely answer many polls. So that will skew the results some. Also, your percentage totalys are affected by the other poll answers being checked more often. If 30 people post, but 80 people answer the poll, the percentages will vary. -

Cheating..No, not with food!
FunnyDuddies replied to kimalicious's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It doesn't :tea: I am commenting on the fact that these results have driven people to post that they have to be wrong. Commenting on the human condition. Frankly i could care less what is going on in someone else's relationship. No offense people, and I think it is great that those who have stuck together have, but I have my own relationship to focus on. My comments are soley focused on the negative aspect that some people have towards the results because, in some cases, it doesn't ring true to the life they lead off this site. I find that facinating!! -

I am with Donna, step away from the bread! Just because you can doesn't mean you should. And you have come this far without it so I know you can make it a bit further. Any idea when the fill will be put back? I am so glad that you and your doctor work so closely and are able to find the resolutions like you do. Just enjoy some good steaks, maybe some chicken, or so smoked fish. Eat lots of Protein. Enjoy the protein and some hard to eat veggies. I think Alexandra's idea is a perfect one. Take care sis!
