    Hello everyone. I have a BMI of 52 and apparently I'm a candidate of gastric bypass surgery. My only problem is that when I search on the internet I find many, many cases of death. I don't fear death personally, but I'm not in a condition to leave my family and this is the only problem I have with this surgery. Now, can you please tell me how 'real' is the 'danger' in this surgery? Should I be worried? Many many thanks in Advance.

    And when I search about this thing, I find many replies (over on the internet) such as : Your obesity is more dangerous and such things... I do understand that obesity has billions of dangers to it, but my question is how "DANGEROUS" is gastric bypass surgery? Thanks.
