Leftovers, eh, not interested!
TexasGirl1370 replied to heycrystal2052's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
"You know what, I was huge on eating leftovers in the past. If I go out to eat, obviously, I'll always bring something back home and will eat the rest for another meal/meals. I think my issue here is, I made pork and since the surgery, pork isn't really something I care for. Sadly, beef and pork don't interest me anymore. " Try this recipe for chops Cover Chops in EVOO, Salt, Pepper and Cinnamon, then place a green apple slice or two on top. Bake uncovered at 375 until done Serve with starch and veggies of choice. The cinnamon and apple give them a real nice and different flavor. My boys will eat them right out of the pan. -
Feeling like I will never eat again
TexasGirl1370 replied to graziellabs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take smaller sips and smaller bites. I had this same issue, my Doctor found a hiatal hernia that was repaired and I can say in the first week when I would take a sip too large, it was friggin murder going down. Also, be sure to wait a few seconds between sips/bites, so the liquid/food has time to funnel through. For soups or thicker substances, I would dip my spoon and just lick off what was left on it, it took longer to get in the ounces, but it kept the pain away. Take it slow, I know you are probably thirsty or even a bit hungry, but don't rush, because rushing means pain. Good Luck. -
Going back to work Post Op
TexasGirl1370 replied to HDScarlett's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had my surgery Friday, August 11th and was back at my desk Wednesday, August 16th. I will be honest I was tired and did not do any lifting. For the pain I used bags of ice and a pillow on my tummy. I am now 18 days post op and am feeling good, still tire easily but loving the loss of weight. -

Many people said the same thing to me, I gently explain that I am 100lbs overweight and an hourglass shape, so when I get fat, I get evenly fat all over. Everyone has been really supportive. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app
