I'm Ariel and I have always struggled with my weight. I decided to look into bariatic surgery in February of 2017 because my family members have found success with bariatric surgery and because it was covered by my insurance (hallelujah! Wouldn't have been able to make it happen otherwise).
I underwent surgery on 8/15/17 by Dr. Bart Liles with Louisiana Center for Weight Loss Surgery performed at P&S Surgical Hospital in Monroe, LA. My post-op experience was fine after the first day, as I had a lot of vomiting and nausea immediately after surgery. Aside from that, the experience has been pretty pleasant so far. I am down 27.6 lbs at almost 5 weeks out.
