I’m so anxious and ready but still so unsure of what to expect. I know it’ll all be fine! I just hate waiting now. -

I am also on the 13th! Go twin! I think I’m more nervous about the surgery in general and not the day. I love horror movies and October is my favorite month so this felt like fate. I’m on day 2 of this liquid diet and it’s really a lot. I’m doing a podcast type conversation so follow along and maybe you can call in one day to chat with me about having this day! -
I'm a 30yr old woman who is full of life yet my 400lb body makes me sit on the sideline in just about every area of my life. I'm about 2 more months of doctors appointments away from submitting to my insurance for approval and I'm just so nervous. Not nervous that they'll say "No" but nervous that once I officially start the shakes and the countdown that I'll be alone. My family doesn't live here and we are slowly starting to build a relationship but I'm not so sure that they can and will be able to assist me. I know I have a support system like no other in terms of colleagues and friends but I'm still working through feelings of not being worth their time. Or not knowing how to be vulnerable. I'm also so nervous about who I'll be post this surgery. Will I still be loving and kind or was that a mask to compensate for the weight. I dream of being a comedian and I wonder will I lose my sense of humor once the weight leaves me too. I am working so hard to mentally prepare for the unknown that I really haven't done a good amount of research on the actual life of a person with the sleeve. I know shakes and purees and a scrambled egg, but then what? I'm just hoping to find a community here maybe even some New Yorkers, who can be a support team for each other as majority of my friends and colleagues never had a weight issue quite like mine. It felt really good to say all of this so thanks for whomever is listening.

Thanks I've done all of that stuff actually so now it's sifting through it and being ok with the process. Thank you!
