FROM SIZE 14/16 to 4/6 10 mo. Post Op

I agree, and I am trying to remember I have lost inches and put on muscle, but the np at the doctors office, had me for a loop! My last visit, she said, "oh you have only lost 9 pounds in 3 months" but never said wow 80 pounds gone! So it through me off, like I should have done better. When she asked what my goal was and I said to keep off the weight I have lost and maybe another 20 pounds, she stated 30 would probably be better. I was at a loss

Congrats!!! I have to ask, how did you keep going?? I started at 266 end of May, I am at 186...and the scale has not budged in two months. Last week, I went back to protein shakes and bars and light dinner and still scale has not moved. I am working out 5-6 days a week. I thought maybe muscle gain, because I am at a size 14 and last time I weighed this I was at a size 16. But the doctor seems it should be a piece of cake ( no pun) to loose another 30 pounds. I am soo struggling right now and any advice would be amazing! Keep up the great work!
  4. I am 6 months out and going through the same struggle. Even though I don't eat alot at one sitting, I am noticing I graze and pick all day long. I started at 266 and I am at 189, and haven't lost anything in a month, I have been exercising 6 times a week and I feel like I am stuck. I did start logging all my food etc on a bariatric app and also on the Atkins app to see what I am doing right/wrong. It has helped. Any advice from people who have hit walls will help!

    Need a Mentor

Need a mentor and a friend...

I am three and a half months post opt and totally understand where you are coming from! The only person I told was my husband and kids. I didn't want anyone to know, I didn't want them to try and talk me out of it or hear any stories they had heard or read online🙄 The day before my surgery, I let my close family know, and then just went in he next day and had it done. The people work with still don't know I had the surgery, I told them it was something else, I work with mostly men so they don't even notice what I'm eating or drinking most of the time! At first I thought I had ad axe the biggest mistake! He first few weeks were rough, but now I am so glad I did it! I'm here if you need anything or have any questions
  8. When you go running up the stairs at night to bed and your thighs clap together and cheer you on!! Happened two nights ago...

    I regret this surgery

I felt exactly the same way! Like omg what have I done! This is ridiculous, I should have just dieted!! However, I say that because I knew I could cheat on a diet, this prevents you from doing that! Now I am glad I did it, I am 3 1/2 months out, down 71 pounds and feel great! Sleeping better and just started to exercise. I do take a bit here and there of sweets or something I am craving, but honestly, I don't even like the taste, its more of changing my state of mind. I know I have lost a bunch and have gone from a 24 to a size 14-16, but I still feel bigger, I don't even have an urge to clothes shop, I just wear my stuff really big stuff and I think that feeling will change too. Its a roller coaster, but I think in the end and for your health you will see it was for the best
  10. I am an 3 months post op and have stalled at least once each month, I notice it around my period, but then I also, check my food log and go back to basics, protein shake for at least one meal a day, and more fluid. Has gotten me moving all three times! Good luck

    Always starving

I a man almost 3 months post op and I have had the same thing starting after surgery the very first night in the hospital! I find smaller meals more frequent definitely help. I still can't fit 8 ounces of anything in at a meal! Also, try staying with more protein

    MAY Sleevers?

Was that weight all lost after surgery? Are you exercising and what are you eating? Curious, I'm stuck lol

    MAY Sleevers?

Those sound good! I will research those today! My problem, I hate reheated meat so everything I make is either eaten when I make it or something I can have cold. I just went to the grocery store and bought a rotisserie chicken and that will last me several meals and can be eaten cold and on salad..

    MAY Sleevers?

I am eating between 300-500 calories. I can't fit anymore. I still have a protein shake or scrambled eggs for breakfast. I'll eat soup, salad with grilled chicken or a protein bar for lunch and just a small dinner of mostly meat and veggies. I can't fit a lot of food. I find it much better to track with the Atkins app, it's free to use and download. I also do a lot of sugar free fudgesicles, hello and puddings. I started walking a few weeks ago, not far and about 20 minutes a few times a week, and I swim. I'm going to sound so bad, but I have small 2 pound weights that I use to do arm exercises while I'm watching tv at night.. like I mentioned I don't have a lot for energy but I just figured it's something!

    MAY Sleevers?

I haven't even told anyone at my work that I had the surgery. I have had comments from people like, oh you've lost weight, your such a pretty girl and if you lost more 🙄 As you can tell I work with mostly men! I am trying to exercise but just not a lot of energy... just keep trucking!
