  1. All the time.... scale says I’m down almost 130 lbs (started at 356 so a lot more to go) and I for the first time bought some new clothes in a smaller size. I couldn’t get myself to buy anything except what I was used to. It’s weird. I feel better but struggle to “see” it in myself even when looking at before and current pics
  2. LaLaDee it bizarre to explain but I’m afraid to. All I know is 4x or 26/28 anything else is foreign to me. I’m working on it though... may try one or two new things for summer!
  3. Allie589 I’m in the same boat. Down 120 lbs and haven’t bought anything new except a shirt I needed for school (I’m a teacher) and I still bought a 3x. It’s all I know. I’m afraid of having to buy clothes because it’s always been a not fun experience. Trying to get my head around this but I still have a ways to go HW 356 SW 343 CW 233
  4. I can relate... went to a party and had some cheese, pepperoni and FIVE triscuit crackers. next Day was up 4 pounds. My gym guy said probably the salt but I was like are you serious??? 7 mos out and the scale hasn’t moved in a month. Down 115 lbs but need to jump start things again
  5. Congrats on your success! I was sleeved in August and am down 115 lbs still have a ways to go but feel so much better. A few people have commented but I think some are hesitant to do so which is fine by me. I struggle to see the change in myself. It’s all in my head. I haven’t bought new clothes fornfear a smaller size won’t fit. Makes no sense I know. My clothes are much looser but still wearable... definitely a journey we’re on!
  6. Mine is still going on too. I’m blessed that I started with long, thick hair but it’s driving me crazy!!!! Wondering when it will stop. Not sure what will make it better
  7. I was sleeved 8/15 and down about 104 lbs I too have been having tons of hair fall out. My brushes and shower drain are always full. Fortunately I had very long, thick hair so I had a lot to spare but I’m concerned it doesn’t seem to be slowing down

    Booking my gastric sleeve

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. My sleeve was the best thing that has happened to me. I started this journey 356.6 lbs (I’m 5 foot 3 in) and was sleeved on Aug 15. Today I’m down 104 lbs. still have a lot to go though. My surgery was a Tuesday, I went home Thursday and went out with my husband and kids Saturday. I was able to start back to school 11 days later (I’m a teacher) Follow your doctors orders. Listen to what your body tells you and try to move as much as you can even if it’s just around your home. Best of luck to you!
  9. Absolutely!!! Even small changes are changes in the right direction and overall, you’re DOWN. Everyone is different... figure out what works best for you!!! Good luck!!!
  10. Sure... my kids are back at college so dinners are easier now. My husband and I eat together, but not the same foods. Haha fir breakfast I have a premier protein shake which i think is 6 carbs? lunch a 4oz hamburger or turkey patty low fat cheese stick 0 carb dannon light n fit 15 carb but you can subtract the fiber the nutritionist said?? dinner 4oz chicken or steak, nothing on it, maybe some more non fat cheese, some almonds thats about it im down 97 lbs since 8/15 was 356 pre surgery, 342 surgery date currently about 258 give or take a bit Good luck to you on your journey!!!
  11. Same here... def in a stall. Down 97lbs from my sleeve on 8/15 and thrilled but have another 100 to go.... not craving the junk as much as I just wish I could have something here and there dr wants me under 30 carbs a day which I’m doing but I think I need to be more aware of fat. Some foods are low to no carb but high fat. So I need to learn to balance. THey told me not to stress bout fat count as much as carb but wondering if that will help break my stall????
  12. Similar stats here... sleeved 8/15 and was 356 pre op, about 340 surgery day. today at 258. So almost at the 100 lb Mark. I honestly think my body is still in shock from the lack of junk I was eating. I was very high carb, high processed, lots of fast food. Hang in there.... I’ve slowed at times and recently started exercising a bit so hoping that allows me to maintain a steady loss as I still have a long way to go!!!! Good luck
  13. Reading these posts helps a lot. I was sleeved on 8/15 and have lost about 90 lbs and I still want to beat myself up over the tiny scoop of mashed potatoes I had yesterday with ham. Normally my plate would be covered and yet yesterday it was a tiny, maybe 1/4 cup if that. I’ve been baking up a storm, cookies galore (I’m italian, lots of treats) but have not sampled one thing. Unrealistic? A bit. I’m not going to beat myself up this weekend if I enjoy something. This lifestyle has to be my new reality. I need to own it since I have come so far, but have a LONG away to go still. We can do it. We have to. But don’t throw away months of progress because of a few days of indulgence. Like someone said, a small “cheat” I’m sure is NOTHING to what you would have had last year. Keep working hard friends! 🎄🎄👍🏼👍🏼
  14. That’s possible... I was sleeved on 8/15 and am stalled at a 90 lb loss which I am still ecstatic about but I said to my dr there really is nothing else to “cut out”, I don’t cheat much (maybe a cracker here and there) but don’t get my water in and only workout a couple days a week. They’d said it may not be enough calories coming in. So I’m tweaking here and there.
  15. I feel ya... down 89 lbs and still in the same clothes although looser. loss has slowed, and there’s really not much I can cut out. I weigh everything, have a protein shake for bkfst, don’t snack etc even joined the fitness center at the hospital where I was sleeved. still have a LONG way to go but pleased with my loss so far! hang in there!!!
