I go to Braums and get the small yogurt twist in a cup. Its 140 calories. I tried halo top last week and its just not for me. You must be careful at 3 months out. I waited until I got to goal or holidays before I ate anything off plan and right back on it the next day. Not everyone can do that and not have issues with relapsing back to old ways.

I agree, I don't like the excess skin and have it everywhere but I would rather have it then be 300+ lbs again any day of the week.

Hungry after gastric sleeve?
Tracyringo replied to DietrichWarnick's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Acid mimics hunger pains and so does thirst after surgery for VSG patients . Try a tums or water before turning to food. I still do this at 2 years out. -
Yes that is boring for sure. I use to buy lunchmeat and roll laughing cow up in it around 2 months. Tuna packets have a lot of different flavors with some cottage cheese, although you probably wont be able to finish at 2 months out. I liked adells chicken meatballs with peach salsa (found that on youtube, you might be able to get 2 in ) Chobani key lime yogurt was and still is a favorite of mine. Any kind of seafood I ate.

So what are you unable to eat now?
Tracyringo replied to mlmx1138's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can eat anything with no problems. Although I don't eat bananas any more they taste gross to me now. -
I got a lot of good ideas by going on youtube and putting in what are you eating 2 months out or 3 months out depending on where I was at the time.

I agree with all the above and especially hurting yourself by eating solid foods 10 days after surgery. You really need to let yourself have time to heal.

Congrats on the beginning of a new you ! I was the crazy lady who weighed in everyday and went nuts, but I couldn't help it. I had to know what was going on everyday. 🤣 I ate what ever I was allowed and had no problems except anything with tomato in it tasted weird for quite awhile, but not anymore.

Weighing your food on a food scale
Tracyringo replied to chaibaix's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I weighed and logged everything the first 16 months, then I stopped. I just started doing it again because my weight crept up on me a few weeks ago 10 lbs !! I have gone back down 5 lb with 5 lb more to go. Your sleeve will eventually relax so knowing how much you are eating is very important. Best of Luck -
I had also read that the sleeve was more restrictive then the RNY, which was one of the bigger reasons I switched to sleeve, but the acid issues are still daily for me 2 years out. The meds do keep me from waking up choking on acid, which is good as you can imagine. Good luck

I tested negative, so I am getting an EDG done

I know a LOT of people who have been on them for years and are doing fine. Spoke to my Dr. about it yesterday and as long as you get your bones checked and your body is absorbing vitamins ect it is fine, better then getting cancer and not taking the PPI.

Tracyringo replied to cutiepie34's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

🍽️ 🍽️ What's on the Menu? 🍽️ 🍽️
Tracyringo replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
ms.sss maybe start a new thread and call it what is on the menu for maintenance ? -
It didn't affect anything for me and at the time it was in season. My Bariatric team didn't agree with the keto and wanted us to have veggies and fruits in our diets, they said keto would mess with our metabolism later on when we did eat those things later. Everyone has different views I chose to go with the Drs. and nutritionist for my plan.

Tracyringo replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Personally I would do the rice since you are in maintenance, but that is just me. -
I had watermelon around 6 weeks with no problem and it was delicious. Only about 2 chunks if I remember correctly

3 months post op restriction ?
Tracyringo replied to 21pilots's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I could not have eaten that much at 3 to 4 months post op, I do remember making low carb high protein enchiladas around that time to 6 months and could only eat half. I rarely eat bread or low carb tortillas still because its hard for me to get it in. -
I took a break and just tried maintaining after the first year. Then this past December I started losing again. I lost 5 lbs in my 23rd month and have kept it off. My body I think just needed that break to get going again.

At 15 months out I could drink a whole one for sure.
