Was banded on 6/29/06 and I'm down 40 lbs. Kathy:)

Last time I went to Golden Corral, I showed them my card and they charged me for a medical buffet, which was 2 dollars less. Kathy

What exactly does the doctor ask when you go for a fill? I have my first one next week. Thanks, Kathy

that is hungry after being banded 4 weeks ago? I seem to be eating more and more. This is getting frustruating! I don't go for a feel for two more weeks. How do I get through this without gaining weight? Thanks, Kathy

I am also bipolar and was hospitalized 2 times. My medications are now controlling this disorder. I was approved on June 1st and had my surgery on Jun 29th. I didn't have any problems. I think they are looking for uncontrolled mental health issues. Yours is controlled. Don't worry! Kathy:)

Was wondering if anyone was banded on 6/29 or around that time and how they were doing. I've been doing great, lost 20 lbs, but can eat more than I thought initially. Kathy:eek:

Hi all, I am 44 years old, married have 2 boys, ages 16 & 11. I've been consistently gaining weight since the birth of my first son when I gained 65 lbs and only lost 10. I have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, bad hip, and hurting knees. I've been researching weight loss surgery for 2 years, and finally made my decision back in April. My insurance approved me before the Dr., even sent in the paperwork. They approved it by the letter sent to them saying I wanted a referral. Anyway, I'm excited because my surgery is next week, Thursday the 29th. Kathy:)

for surgery on 6/29. I'm a 44 year old mother of 2 boys ages 16 & 11. I weigh 306 lbs. Can't wait to have surgery as I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, bad knees and hip. I've been researching all this for 2 years before making my decision. I'm excited and scared at the same time. I guess this is normal. I'll probably be posting here alot. Thanks, Kathy:)

I'm scheduled for surgery on 6/29, and was wondering how many people that had strong stomaches pre-op, still had strong stomaches post-op. And how many people that had week stomaches pre-op, still had week stomaches post-op. I was wondering because I have a very strong stomach, and no foods make me sick. Will I still have a strong stomach, and be able to eat most foods? Thanks, Kathy

When you pb or slime, how long do you feel sick for? Thanks, Kathy

I'm new here and scheduled for surgery on 6/29. I have a couple of questions: 1. What is the deal regarding taking medications? Do they need to be a certain size? 2. How long did you take off from work if you worked in an office setting? 3. How do you get in all of your liquids if you have to sip everything? 4. Anyone else go on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks post-op? How was it? Thanks, Kathy:help:
