    Pain above incision??

I did experience the exact same thing. I could even feel a little lump. I was told, it was a collection on blood which is common post op. In time it will subside. What i did what exchange hot and cold packs on that area. Within a week or so, the pain and lump went away.

Had this happen @ 5 weeks

You are probably right. I haven't had an episode like that since thankfully. Getting back to myself. Hoping to start more physical exercise soon.
  4. Everything had been progressing well. Up to this point, I only had some hydration issues. I've been walking vigorously lately as well. Friday i had to set up a tent and move around a bunch in 90 degree heat. Hydrated before and during. That night started feeling nausea. Laid down and continued to drink water. Next morning felt better and decided to eat an omelet with shredded cheese. Pain started in lower abdomen. At about mid afternoon, i couldn't stand the cramping and pain. Tried going to bathroom. Went ok, then diarrhea. Then the dry heaving started. Nothing coming up. That lasted for about an hour and a half. Laid down again in pain, contemplated going to er from pain. Fell asleep woke up fine, a little nausea, but much better. I don't think i ate incorrectly? Admittedly, i didn't eat much leading up to all this. Just no desire. Any ideas what happened or has anyone else experienced this?

    Saying hello

Congrats on the surgery! You know I haven't had any cravings yet. At 4 weeks i'm starting to get hungry at dinner time only. I've never had chicken and waffles before. Resist that damn chicken!

    Protein Intake

I was worried too. Its more important to eat 3x a day and focus on fluids, and vitamin intake. Ill eat yogurt or eggs since I'm only 4 weeks out, and feel great. The protein intake will increase, its important to protect your pouch right now. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app

    When am I full?

This is really great to hear. I'm 4 weeks post, and have been wondering the same thing. To be honest, last night I'm pretty sure i experienced my first full sensation. Like one of the posters said, it felt real easy. Like my brain said just STOP! I was good after that.
  9. I tried to go to the store 5 days out. Walking very slowly, and still felt like you did. It looked as if I was running a marathon. Take it slow. Stay hydrated is so important. I went back into the hospital for dehydration. You be able to get going soon enough.

That is what my Dr. wants me on too. I guess i shouldn't worry about the protein amount right now. Thank you!
  11. Hello everyone! I'm about three weeks post-op. The journey has been tough, yet enlightening so far. Just joined the site, and love to see all the feedback from everyone. I do have a question. I know not having an appetite is normal, but when does that fade? Any suggestions on what protein to start with without doing the shakes?

    Full and bloated

I experienced something similar. Just as Redorange stated, gas can be an issue. Walking as much as you can at home or outside will be a big help with this. What i did to stop the bloated feeling is try to lay on your stomach if its not too painful. Lastly, be careful not getting your required liquids in. I got dehydrated and I didn't even know. The start was blurred vision, and weakness. Hope you feel better!
