Last night I made a recipe with a high grade szechuan peppercorn shells. I read about the numbing properties, thought I'd be OK, but WOW, holy mackerel!! I thought I was gonna die! I had water to wash it down and the water tasted SO WEIRD. Made me wonder if this is what I might expect after surgery. I lived/ haha

Holy moly! I'd never heard that about the peppercorns. How much did you use? Must of been "good herb," man! Glad you lived, btw! I'd hate to lose my surgery buddy!
I've been having my GERD again lately (think from my vitamins)...and yep. All of a sudden, mid-bite, you can't make something go down your throat or even make yourself swallow. I know the first time it happens, that's it for whatever I'm eating. So I assume that's what surgery will be like?
