...when they are on their bikes and scooters. Its driving me nuts!! These kids are little! I had to vet this somewhere, now I feel better!

Most embarrassing diet/exercise product you've ever bought?

Ha! I have that! -
I hated the first 3 weeks -- 1 week of clears, 2 weeks of shakes. Hated those weeks with a passion!! Tomorrow I will be at Week #6 and its sooooo much easier! That said, I do get hungry between meals, and I'm working on recognizing the patterns -- I think this will be critical for long-term success.

I think that meal is on a teacup saucer, so probably not too much food! Salmon is a staple for me, so yum!

Y'all are inspiring me to pull out my bike, dust it off and take a ride! I love the idea of a dog harness -- Murphy would love that!

Out With the Old--In With the New!

That avocado toast looks delicious...this must be on my plate soon. :-) Did you lose the 2#? Is this just the body storing more glycogen based on supply/demand? This happened to me today -- up 3# since yesterday morning after a week of steady, modest declines. -
Rotisserie chicken might be an option for you, as its quite soft. Do you eat fish? Lots of good options there.

Just get a new PCP.

Yup, good plan! It will end, and it is frustrating. I hope I can handle the next one in a more calm manner.

I left my husband and son on their own for the first month, and they did fine. Many sandwiches! Now, at 6 weeks, I enjoy cooking again.
-
Looking good! And cute photos :-)
-
LOL, @JohnnyCakes, she's 5 days out!! Hang in there, focus on getting water in. Everything will get better soon. For me, it was about a month before I had my feet under me.

I agree that journaling is critical to success -- it teaches us how to build balanced food nutrition days. Get a few favorite meas and days under your belt, and it becomes easier. After all, we are creatures of habit!

Time off from work
Apple203 replied to GirlShrinking's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 2.5 weeks off (surgery was on a Wednesday), but I should have taken another week. I am 53, and I do think age factors in on this decision. -
Everybody survive their first stall? I finally broke free from mine after 10-ish days (I can't quite figure out where to draw the lines!).
-
He's probably doing what my surgeon does: calculates your excess body weight (EBW) from your highest weight (not your surgery weight) and uses this value to determine the percent lost. Then compares it with national averages of who knows what! I see you are from Maryland -- did you go to AAMC by any chance?
-
Great accomplishment so far!! ps -- you should update your stats on the left!

I don't even know what a burpee is, but the whole thing sounds crazy to me!

:-) I'm glad you are increasing your calories. I'm at 700/day, 30g carbs now. I fluv the fluffy mask, LOL. -
First Stall - less than 2 weeks after surgery???
Apple203 replied to nycgirl18's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
((hugs)) It is tough, at least for this first one. I finally broke my stall yesterday, so hang in there, it will happen. Hopefully our next stalls will be easier psychologically. -
Welcome to the other side!! The first weeks are challenging, but it seems to get easier once you are eating real food again. :-)

I came home 12# heavier than when I went in for surgery. It was gone in about a week. -
Clothing During Rapid Weightloss Months

I just bought a smattering of new stuff in my next size down!! I am planning to keep my wardrobe LEAN and rely on accessories to carry me through to my goal. Fortunately, I only go into my office 3 days a week. Black pant, white pant, a versatile black dress, and some tee's -- done!
