Yes me too. Did Dr Bass do your surgery? You were probally in the same hospital as me! I have a temp of 99 and feel weird when I eat but I am able to drink two bottles too, and had 2 oz of yogurt today!! Woohoo lol. Take a deep breath! You will do fine.

Hey all! I just got sleeved on the 15th. Came home on the 16th and today I'm allowed protein shakes, yogurt and cream soups. So my question is this...How do I get into a routine? Can some of you tell me how you did it? I want to just measure my food intake and do it that way. I cant tell when I'm full yet and dont want to over eat like I did yesterday. Please any advise will be great!!

Where at in florida? I was sleeved on the 15th as well, Naples here. I didnt get rid of all my gas yet but i am getting better daily. Started my protein today and two bottles of water. So far so good!!

My dr said yes to tea remedies i use Teami tea

Hey all.. Day 2 here after my surgery. I just want to make sure everything I am feeling is normal. I had a surgery twin(someone I met from Classes) that we have been comparing and we are so totally different ! For instance I have a lot of gas pain I think thats what it is that is around my shoulders and back. I also have this super sharp pain on my left side (maybe where he pulled my leg tummy out). And I feel like I have stomach grumbling/hunger pain? IDK. And when I left the house I weighed 240.6 but now I weigh 245? Please give me some advise everyone, is all this normal?

Hey all I just wanted to let everyone know how much help you all have been! It's been great to be able to come here and get advise and support. I'm really not nervous about the surgery because Ive had two back surgeries and a Lap band back in 2010. I guess I'm more nervous about how my life will be going forward. I just cant imagine it. I know I wont fail though. I am too determined!! I am slightly nervous about leakage, but it doesn't happen very often, and I trust my surgeon so here goes everyone!! Tomorrow at 7 am keep me in your thoughts!! Ill update as soon as I can!

I heard from my Drs office today......My surgery is Wednesday!! I am so excited!! I'm bout to go to the losers bench BABY!!

Ugh that sucks....but well worth it! I just cant believe that my surgery is tomorrow...it seems like yesterday that I started my journey. So blessed! I pray your time goes by fast!!

Hello....I have Aetna. I was required to do 3 months of classes, a phyc. Evaluation, and a nutrition appointment. My nurse told me DO NOT GAIN and I will get approved. I finished my requirements and was approved within 10 days my surgery is Wednesday!!

My surgeon has been doing this for 20+ years and the one thing he has said is only 48 grams of carbs, and 70 grams of protein. No drinking while eating, and fruit.....later down the line...

I have my surgery date on the 15th. I have passed all the requirements, but i havent gotten the official "Your approved" from the insurance company. When i had my lap-band I didnt get approved until the day before, and i was hoping it wasnt going to be like this again...do you know how hard it is to stay diligent on this stupid liquid diet not knowing if I'm approved or not!! Please pray for me y'all!! Down 6 lbs so far on this liquid diet so thats a plus!!

Yes, a note stating you can't perform your job will qualify you. You will need to prepare for 7 days of no income, then they qualify you. Good luck

I have heard of surgeons going in and then aborting the procedure due to an enlarged liver....

I would get broth, propel, and unflavored protien. That way you can pretty much add it to whatever you want to boost your intake. I'm nov 15th!! On day 3 of liquid diet

I just started day one of the liquid diet. Ugh I didn't think I would have an issue, but darn...the struggle is real!! So hungry, but a protein shake is just filling me up, its not satisfying me. Oh well. I can do it!

I'm the 15th as well! So excited and nervous

Hi all!! I got my band removed in August of this year. I too failed my band. I could never get that "full" feeling. And drinking while I eat....smh I just could master the band. I didn't really have any issues with the band UNTIL I was admitted into the hospital with chest pains and yes anxiety. After a two day stay in the hospital and no issues detected, the doctor releasing me said it could be digestive related. I was like....as in my band? He said oh...do you have the lap band...yes that could be it. Sure enough. My Bariatric surgeon said yes, if you would have called me I would have told you it was all band related. So here I am one week away from getting the Gastric sleeve. I am so excited!! I couldn't commit to the RNY, however the sleeve is step one of the RNY so if this has issues he can do the RNY with no problems. Maybe you want to start off with that? My concern with the RNY is not the dumping, its the malnutrition. But thats just me.....thought Id throw my two cents in to the ring.....good luck

I am sipping on my banana pp right now!! I ordered unjury protein, soups and nectar off this website yesterday. I am ready! I just couldn't find the gasx strips, but I will keep looking. I had the lapband in 2010 so I am well versed in the liquid diet. It's not that that I am stressing about, its the pain lol. Hopefully it will be here and gone before I know it. I am a little concerned about dehydration also, but again it will have to be a trial and error. Sooooo excited!

Bariatric advantage is the best. It tastes great, no grit and you can add one stevia to sweeten. Also I use almond milk to make it with. Hope this helps
