    Stalls, stalls, stalls

I'm just going to trust the process. I've been stuck at 203 for over two weeks now. Monday I weighed in at 201.7 but then it went back up. I've been stuck at 203 but people have noticed I look slimmer. I'm just telling myself that even though the scale isn't going down and it's been weeks, it doesn't mean my body isn't changing. I'm trying to up my protein and liquids and hopefully this stall will break soon. I know i'm on the "lighter weight" side so it isn't going to come off as quickly but man...over 2 weeks of this stall...it's a little hard to deal with and stressful and I'm getting nervous that I might not lose anymore weight but I'm just keeping hope that this stall will break soon enough.

    Best Unflavored Protein Powder?

Genepro! It has more protein (30g) and only 1 spoon instead of 2 spoons for isopure and isopure has less protein...all personal preference though.

    Reset???

    @LittleLizzieLilliput we're supposed to be doing 10k a day? That's 6 miles! I'm way behind then... oops I read that wrong...you meant 10,000 steps a day! Lol

    Finding My Way

I'm only in Human Resources so I"m at a desk all day but I was out for a week and went back, but found that I barely had energy at work so I took an extra week off. If I had the PTO I would've taken one more week off to be fully myself
  5. I'm in LA! I was going to go with UCLA but they said they would verify my insurance and call me to schedule an appointment. I never heard back and then a month and a half later I get a voicemail from an automated system saying my appointment/consult was the next day! Totally turned me off to them. I went with Dr. Feiz in Beverly Hills. I had my surgery 1 month and 2 days ago. I've lost 20 lbs since surgery. 7 lbs was from the day before surgery. Feel free to message me with any questions you have or if you need some local support. I'm here!
  6. I forgot my cape at home today...
  7. Likewise! But me reading "i'm probably one of the few people on here who's actually athletic" is rude and doesn't sit well with me so I just wanted to address it and make it clear that words like that are uncalled for and not ok in an environment like this. Anyways! I'm over this post. Have a good day!
  8. So I was sleeved 7/14 ...the 14th makes me one month post op and I lost 17 lbs so far since surgery. I feel like that isn't that much from what I'm seeing on here. Feeling a little discouraged about that. But I'm not really being active and I think that is my issue of not losing as much weight. I wake up really early for work, my commute is an hour and a half and then I get off and my commute home is another hour and a half. That's 3 hours of my day just sitting in traffic. By the time I get home and eat dinner, it's 8pm and then I have my online classes for school to focus on after. By the time i'm done with everything...I'm exhausted. I have no motivation to even walk. I don't know what to do at this point. Not too happy.

Lacking the motivation to even walk...

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I think what's really going to help me is weighing my food and meal prepping. I need to stop being lazy and plan my stuff better! Thanks for the helpful tips! I'm going to really work on it.

Lacking the motivation to even walk...

@Berry78 I looked up the chicken I get and this is the nutrition facts: How much sugar and carbs and stuff should we be having a day? I feel so lost about this stuff....my surgeon's office didn't really inform me. I was only told 60-80 g of protein and at least 64 oz of fluids and a post op diet for the first month really...

Lacking the motivation to even walk...

@JKC2016 I see your point. I had gotten some beef jerky but it's so salty. I'm also sooo lazy to cook these meats. I eat string cheese and refried beans though. I should probably make like a bunch of hard boiled eggs so I can eat one during the day for the whole week. I just need to put more effort. I'm just so exhausted after work and school. I don't have the will to want to do anything else lol

@Berry78 ok good lol yeah I don't eat the skin. I was just worried about the amount of sodium in it. Do you have any suggestions for protein bars?

Lacking the motivation to even walk...

I know I should've taken my measurements when I started. I regret not doing that. I know I've already gotten smaller. Everyone tells me my arms, face, and body are looking smaller...mleh! lol I didn't even take a before photo because I hated looking at myself in the mirror. Luckily, I have some really freaking unflattering pics of myself a week before surgery haha jk

@Berry78 I have a food scale but I'm just so lazy. I need to be better. I'm getting the food scale out today when I get home from work. I usually just eat things that I can look up on my fitness pal because it tells me all the nutritional facts. Do you think eating the rotisserie chicken from the grocery store is ok? Had it for dinner and again for lunch today...?
  16. @JT2002TJ saying "girl stop" when I don't know you, is speaking down to me and rude. She was defensive against anyone who had an opinion on the matter. She posted something, and this is a forum for everyone to share their thoughts and opinions, just because it isn't to someone's liking, and because they didn't like to hear criticism on the matter and wanted a babied answer, they also were rude to every person on here that said that was not a good idea. We are not doctors so we said be honest with your surgeon. Also, this is not just a random surgery...if you are serious about this journey you are about to embark on why risk it? That is all we were saying. So because I shared my opinion, I was told "girl stop" with a rude remark after. Not having it. If you want to defend that, sure. Go ahead. You're completely entitled, as are we who have opposing opinions.

Thanks for the advice! Instead of vitamin water zero on my way to work I'll drink a protein shake! And snack on a protein bar for a snack. Any suggestions for bars?
  18. @YeaMe I have been in a stall for 2.5 weeks (i'm one month post op) lol I lost like 19-20lbs since surgery. I think some of it has to do with my hormones though...buuuut i'm hoping the stall breaks soon! I'm not getting nearly enough protein or liquids in either...it's so hard. I get so full after a few bites...I'm not even getting 800 calories in...
  19. Ugh tell me about it, I've been in a stall for like 2.5 weeks now also...it's super frustrating. I wanna know toooo lol

    Who Are You?

@Just_Jim Hi there, I'm in Cali - SoCal though. But hi! My boyfriend also did not want me to get the surgery. I told my boyfriend the exact same thing. He doesn't know what it's like to be in my shoes. 3 years ago I was 145 lbs. I looked great. However, I took adderall just to maintain my weight. Over the last 3 years I went from 145-228 lbs at my highest. He doesn't know what it's like to have people treat me differently because I'm a little bigger now. He doesn't know what it's like to not get the same respect a woman smaller than me gets. He doesn't know what it's like to have to shop in the plus size sections now and not find anything cute because for some reason, plus sized women are considered less than in today's society. He doesn't know what it's like to go to Macy's and ask where the plus size women's section is when on the women's clothing floor and get told it's where the pots and pans and luggage sections are on the bottom floor pushed back into a corner, or crying in a fitting room and choosing not to go out and to go to events because you are so insecure and hate the person staring back at you sooo much. I too would get ashamed of my fast food addiction and just how much I ate of it a day. He doesn't get it...he doesn't understand that it's been a life long struggle with my weight or that I lack the will power to lose the weight and maintain it because I knew I would fall off the wagon again. This surgery is helping me sooo much already just one month post op. This forum is great because we have been where you are. I even was in a work injury when I was 19 and severely messed up my back and neck and some days I can't do anything because the pain is so bad...so I know exactly where you are coming from with your post. Thanks for sharing. Here if you need support.

Lacking the motivation to even walk...

@BigViffer lol thanks for the info. Sounds pretty accurate. I don't drink alcohol though. Too scared to since surgery lol. I'm one month post op as of yesterday and I lost almost 20lbs since surgery, the additional 6 lbs was pre-op a day before surgery. 20 lbs seems like the norm for weight loss after one month. I walked a lot this weekend on a mini vacay I took and yesterday even though I got home from work super late and was tired as f*ck I still went for a 30 minute walk. I'm trying, but the weight is barely going down. I just need to be patient. I don't think I'm eating enough either though. Wake up - on my way to work drink 8 oz of fluids Get to work - greek yogurt snack - either spoon of peanut butter or a string cheese lunch - a piece of chicken or protein shake snack - spoon of peanut butter dinner - yesterday I had a couple pieces of salami and cheese and like 3 olives I can't eat much more than that...mleh that's pretty bad eating habits huh?

@AZLoser it's been a month as of yesterday :/ I feel like I should be doing more...
  23. So knowing this, don't say you're one of few people who is actually athletic on here. You're in the same boat as all of us. Good luck to you. You need all you can get. Bless you on your journey. [emoji173]️

    Travel question

Well good luck to you! Hope you have a safe trip AND surgery. @LoraLazers
  25. Firstly, you just offended most people on this site. Secondly, if weed isn't so necessary in your life and this surgery is important to you...why would you have risked it to begin with? Thirdly, consult your surgeon, not us non-athletic people.
