  1. You're doing brilliantly. Keep it up.
  2. I totally agree, 1 pound a day is completely unrealistic, and really irresponsible of your medical guy to say so. All that's done has set you up to expect that loss, and when you don't achieve it, you feel bad, and feel like you are failing - which you totally aren't. Everyone loses weight at a different speed, so it's not healthy comparing yourself to others. So many things impact it - your age, starting weight, genetics etc, so there is no 'one size suits all'. As long as you are eating mindfully, keeping up your fluid intake, your protein intake, and aren't having sugary or low quality junk food, you will lose weight. I'm losing 1kg a week now, 3 months post surgery, and that's good, healthy and sustainable. More importantly, I don't feel like I'm on a 'diet'. I'm just eating (mostly) good, healthy food, and enjoying it. Please don't compare, or expect to lose a pound a day. You'll only get demoralized, sad and most likely turn to food to comfort yourself. I'm sending you positive, happy vibes. ❤️
  3. I stalled for 6 days in week 3-4
  4. I'm exactly the same! Day 21 and no loss for 5 days. It's frustrating, but I know it will start up again.... But the secret fear is there that I'm not going to lose anymore weight... Which is silly I know. 😚

    So excited

    Well done!
  6. I saw my nutritionist today, and the info they give is that some people can tolerate taking small sips as they eat, others can't. So you could try it.

    Cold after surgery

I'm glad I did it too, although it takes some adjusting. No, I haven't had any real issues. The first couple of days were pretty awful, but I think that's par for the course. Seem to be getting enough liquid down, and are enjoying all the soups I'm making. How about you? All good for you?

Hi sleeve twin How are you doing?

    Cold after surgery

Thanks guys. I don't think I have an iron deficiency as I have haemachromotosis, which keeps my iron levels up. But I did wonder if it was because I'm not eating much. We are still in winter here in New Zealand, so it just means more layers, and more logs on the fire. 😁
  10. Hi, I had my sleeve on 22nd August, and haven't had any problems since (apart from the usual drinking too quickly, etc). I've been on full liquids since the day after surgery, and start on purees in 3 days. Since my surgery, I've noticed that I've been really cold, which is unusual for me, as I'm normally the hot person. I'm feeling healthy in every other way. Is this usual? Kiri007
  11. Hi, I had my sleeve on 22 August, and have been taking meds whole since the day after surgery. It was a little difficult the first few days because you can only swallow little sips of liquid, but the past couple of days I've been absolutely fine. I find it helps if the liquid is warm.
  12. How did you go? How are you now? I'm not feeling too bad at day 3 post surgery. Came home yesterday, and have just been resting, dozing and watching TV. I've found I tolerate warm drinks better than cold ones. Managed about 35 FL.oz of liquid today, but only one of them was a protein drink. I'm so grateful that I had very little nausea, did have bad pain for the first few hours after surgery, till me a few hours to get stable in recovery. How are you?
  13. I'm your surgery twin. Mine is in a couple of hours - it's the 22nd where I am. Good luck.
  14. Hi, I'm sure to have a gastric sleeve on 22 August and I wondered if there was anyone else here from New Zealand who was having their surgery at a similar time, or who had the same Dubey recently?
