About Me

So, this is kinda hard for me because my life has been going through a transition the past few years and so I sorta feel like I'm getting to know myself again. All I've been is a super crazy, busy mom for almost 20 years. I had 3 kids each 3 years apart so on class party day I was running back and forth between classrooms like a mad woman! And all of a sudden ( okay, maybe not all of a sudden, but it sure feels like it ) it seems like nobody really NEEDS me anymore. Not how it sounds, but like they've all gotten self-reliant. Which is GREAT, don't get me wrong, but it left a lot of time open to see how bad I had let my health get. When my back or knees hurt, I always blamed it on "them darn kids runnin' me to death"  but that excuse wouldn't work anymore.

Okay, I know I started in the middle of the story but I'm half fruit-loop so this is how my brain rolls.

So, the beginning, I've been "chunky" my whole life. I never really let it bother me growing up, it didn't stop me from doing anything really. But, I grew up in a family of mostly boys so I was just "tuff" ( lol, that one always makes me chuckle )! I started noticing my weight in Jr High, the popular clothes didn't really look the same on me. My weight went up and down for years but my 3rd pregnancy at 30 just really packed it on. I've bounced between 200 and 230 for the past 10 years and I'm at the point now that I hurt so bad that even small amounts of physical activity just sets my back and knees on fire.

I have been researching weight-loss surgery for 2 years now and I really feel like this is the best route for me. Problem is, I'm a self pay patient. So I decided to travel to Mexico to get it done. I know it seems crazy to some people and honestly, it did to me to at first, but I have spent a boatload of time researching surgeons so I'm confident in my decision now. I ended up choosing Dr. Juan Antonio Lopez Corvala at Angeles Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. My surgery date is September 12, 2017.

I am so excited to finally start this new chapter in my life!! Bring it on World!!
