Are they at the same place as the seminar? The Clarion? I might go..I think I'm going to wait til I get to talk with the docs first & get the ball rolling. I am changing insurance on May 1st. from Tufts to Fallon Select, so I want to figure out what they require (does anyone know?). I'll probably start going in the summer.

Just wondering the when & where of the support group. I would be driving from Amherst (not too far but with gas at 3.42 (ugh!) I'm not driving much) so need to pre-plan. And are they open to pre-bandsters? Thanks! :tt1: Meg in Amherst

Anyone have Fallon Community Health Plan in Massachusetts? I am just starting on this path and I just found out my work is changing from Tufts to Fallon on May 1st. I haven't told anyone at my work that I am considering the band and am not ready yet to tell them. I don't have a member number yet so can't call member services (and don't want to raise any unnessessary red flags) Just wondering what they cover (or no). Good day everyone!! I just went to the seminar down in West Springfield last Thursday for PVSA. The room was PACKED! I was really surprised! So, right now I am waiting to hear back from them and get my first appointment. I was wondering...do you get to choose between Dr. Fiallo & Dr. Haag? Or do they just sign you up with who ever is available? Just wondering... Also I have Tufts so am going through the I Can Change program. Six months of what....I'm not sure... I'm gonna call them and find out the particulars tomorrow. Anybody else have Tufts?? Can't want to get this ship sailin' !!!!! Meg in Amherst

Howdy, all! I am just beginning this wonderful journey. Looks like I came to the right place for support and companionship. Which I'll need lots of in the next weeks/months/years :smile: I am going for my first consult with my PCP on Monday (April Fools Day..how appropriate!!) to get the ball rolling. After that...who knows? I will probably attend a seminar mid-April and choose a doctor soon after. Can anybody recommend a surgeon in Western MA? I am all ears! To a new life! :biggrin2: Greetings from Western MA (Amherst to be exact). During my yearly physical last week my PCP mentioned that I might be a candidate (...for President -nah!) for weight loss surgery. 245 5'2". Yeah, she's right! So..right now I am reading a lot, learning what I can and getting ready for the best part of my life! Anybody else from Western Mass? I guess I would be going to Mercy Hospital or Baystate?? I've got an appointment w/ my PCP on the 1st (April Fools Day...how appropriate LOL!!) to get the ball rolling. I look forward to sharing my journey. OceanGal aka Meg
